Insane. A 21yo asking a certified freak of nature and top 5 player on the planet, “Is that really the best you’ve got?” I swear. No idea how his career plays out but barring health stuff I’ll be shocked if he isn’t the best defender we’ve ever seen. Dude is singular.

It'll be interesting to see AD be the guy again and not in the shadows of LeBron. And Kyrie getting to play point again. If AD can stay healthy... I think it may be a win for them. A healthy AD is better than Luka IMO.

This is absolute insanity. Watched the Lakers-Knicks game last night, great win and wake up to this news. And I had already bought tickets to Lakers-Pacers in March so I guess I get to see Luka now? 

I will take it. Bittersweet but excited for the future.

If this is true the GM in Dallas needs to be straight fired. Today. You have 1 of the top 3 assets in the sport and you got talked down?  Would say that’s insane except for the part about how trading him was insane on it’s face.

Cant see the tweet but assume it is trashing the Mavs GM. This was the man who was Nike GM and apparently blew the Curry shoe deal with them so badly he went to Under Armour. He does not have a history of competency.

It’s a guy on with Simmons saying that Knecht and another 1st were in the deal and Pelinka got them to take them out over “health concerns.”

I assume "health concerns" alludes to being out of shape sometimes? Thing is ownership still has to sign off on the trade. This guy might be a dope, but incompetent or even disconnected owners will be a problem even when they eventually fire Nico.

Apparently Luka told the Mavs he would not resign and to try and get something in return for him now. Couple that with LeBron complaining to the Lakers that something needed to change and we have a deal.
