Even if we beat OSU(assuming they stay #1 until then)and/or end up undefeated B1G champs does the media vote us to leap frog ND to get the top spot. Once the 3 above ND loses where does a loss come from their weak AF schedule? Unless Miami beats them I don't see any way they lose until the playoffs which will let them be #1 going in. If we are undefeated and OSU is undefeated (which means they beat Texas @ Texas), and we beat them then we will be #1. southsidehoosier, str8baller, Home Jersey and 1 other 4 Quote
TTT Posted Tuesday at 04:00 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:00 PM Provided IU stays healthy…How are teams any of them (vs OSU and Michigan, Nebraska, USC, Washington they will all fade as game is leveraged throughout the game or fade in mid fourth quarter) going to defend IU offense 2026? Then add in that IU defense who looks like Bama defense during Saban peak years…. Another 12-0 season 2026 12-0 season 2025…and that means going into playoffs 2026-27 ND and OSU (national champs and runner ups are IU only losses). Quote

Jeff Flabjohns Posted Tuesday at 11:22 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:22 PM I re-watched the Illinois game and forgot just how dominant the DL was that night…aided sometimes by secondary coverage but mostly doing it on their own. Wyatt, Daley, Landino and Tucker were menacing. And they’re all back!! The DL depth is insane. Being able to keep them fresh and attacking, I don’t see how we don’t lead the conference in sacks/TFLs. After decades of being crushed in the trenches by most P4 teams this has been a refreshing change. Thank you Cig, Bostad, Haines and Kuntz. J34, sirhoosierlot, Artie86 and 2 others 5 Quote

It reminds me of the ‘85 Bears, which had Mike Richardson and Leslie Frazier as their starting cornerbacks. The front seven was so dominant that it really didn’t matter much who played cornerback. That’s not a knock on Jamari, Gandy, and AJ Harris, but it’s real. skhoosier2, cthomas and AZ Hoosier 3 Quote

Yep basically their only job is to not give up huge plays. If you force them to try and march down the field the front 7 will win at some point Stuhoo 1 Quote
mamasa Posted yesterday at 02:21 PM Posted yesterday at 02:21 PM My company just won a bid to do some work to the IU press box at Memorial Stadium. I've taken it upon myself to be onsite (even though I'm an office guy lol) a lot. It's very cool to know how many legends have been up in there. There's a John Mellencamp shack (for lack of a better term) on top of the press box for him to be able to smoke. OliviaPope40, Home Jersey, Jeff Flabjohns and 3 others 5 1 Quote

They had a water leak and we're mitigating that, as well as the structure repairs. Pretty small job, but we're starting to get more IU Athletics jobs (we've had several with some coaches), and hoping to really get moving with them! Hovadipo 1 Quote
Hovadipo Posted yesterday at 02:39 PM Posted yesterday at 02:39 PM Speaking of stadium stuff...a new, paywalled article from Niziolek this morning on the stadium project. The gist of it is stadium expansion is not in the cards any time soon (and Dolson makes a great case why not), with modernization, infrastructure and premium seating the current focus. Makes total sense. Honestly I think we need to sustain success beyond cig before we invest in a new stadium if that’s even in the cards. Would be a disaster if we invest in a new stadium then after cig we go back to the way things were skhoosier2 and jermhoosierfan 2 Quote

At least in the pick clip our video staff clipped Hoover out instead of what we're seeing with some other programs around the country airing out their Qs mistakes. RB room has to be top 5 in the country. If Beebe is #3 we're cooking, he was the best in the room last year imo. Jeff Flabjohns, cthomas and skhoosier2 3 Quote
