Bengals must really like Kaelon if they are sending him an Uber from Chicago to Cincinnati.

Kaelon is gonna be a surprisingly early draft pick, especially for a guy that was buried on college depth charts other than this past year.

Perfect size, plenty shifty, runs low and hard, great team attitude, and now that he showed out with unexpected speed measurables on pro day? He's an NFL back for sure.

Watched a minute-long cutup the other day of what I thought was, without reading the caption, some of our explosive pass plays of the year. Hole shot vs. Iowa, Becker TD in the Rose Bowl, and a few others. It was a Kaelon Black pass pro cutup.

When a rb is a fearless 220 lb cement block it's a whole lot easier to pass pro than when a rb is ...  Jaylin Lucas.

Video pertains to the thread, but my point does not. I’ve had a decent sixth sense about QBs coming out in the past. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but Simpson doesn’t have a prayer imo. On the field he doesn’t impress me in the first place, but I’ve been seeing a lot of interviews with him recently and man he just doesn’t seem to be playing with a full deck upstairs.

Saw that video.

It’s awesome. Props to Simpson for his comments.

The video makes it clear that what Cig is doing at IU is destined to be repeated at IU.

Props to him for taking the L like a champ, but if his takeaway from that game was “they don’t do anything special and I knew exactly what I was seeing all day” …? Yikes. That’s not an accurate representation at all. Nor is it a good look for him or DeBoer.

Makes me think he’s gotten by to this point on on physical tools.  Where as most truly successful QBs in the NFL are cool under pressure and have an incredible understanding of the game.

There’s a reason he was QB #3 till Moore returned to college.

I dunno. For me the admission of athletic domination is that they knew what was coming but IU was so good at it they just couldn’t stop it.

Haines didn't seem to like it either.

Haines: they didn’t change what THEY were doing, so we kept doing the same things to dominate them.

I don’t buy for a second the assertion that IU’s scheme is vanilla. It’s very much not. Maybe I’m misunderstanding him. Do Gracie Bear’s boys pound you into submission physically and with flawless technique? Yes. Is it complex and leaves you guessing pre and post snap? Also yes.

If Ty knew what they were actually doing before 5 broke him in half he may have thrown for more than 60 yards or whatever. The only thing he knew was coming was pain.

Some clarification from the Broyles Award winner!  Haha.

Let the NFL buyer beware when it comes to selecting Simpson.  This comment should be a huge red flag.

Lol what a loser. Although in fairness to him, he couldn’t even handle t30 minutes of BTA before 5 ended his season, so he unfortunately didn’t get the full IU defensive experience.

We did do the same thing every down, which was make Alabama football look like Purdue and beat the crap out of them. So I agree with Ty in that it was very predictable. It’s probably why Alabama football essentially quit against Indiana within a few minutes into the second half.
