Yeah my guts were twisted the whole 4th quarter. Sooo stressed. I’m not sure we are even giving the coaching staff their due for how well they outcoached Miami. We had 3 timeouts in the second half 1st - 4th and 5 completion to Becker 2nd - That kid not good enough for Miamis dive 3rd - The other kid not good enough for Miami picking off Beck 3 Second half timeout and we came out with essentially the best case scenario on each play. Miami had the same time to talk to their players and couldn’t get it done. AZ Hoosier 1 Quote

While I understand your point, 39 million is indeed candy compared to 6 billion. I always have to remind myself (because I've become somewhat desensitized to the word) just how much a billion is yet alone 6, which is what the internets say Mark Cuban's net worth is as of 2026. Who knows what his net worth really is but he's definitely worth billions, with an s. And being the business man the yinzer is you know if he were to fork over something like this for one player he ain't doing it alone. I can only imagine what type of "zoom call" that would be with folks like Todd Wagner and Carl Cook on the call. LOL! Also, 16-0 ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

If Cuban had a billion sitting in one of those nice savings accounts that get 3% interest right now, he’d get $30,000,000 in interest every year. For doing nothing. And he’d still have $5B more in whatever assets that provide him a lot more growth than some savings account. It’s literally nothing to these guys the money they are throwing around. The reason you likely don’t see more of it is because there’s literally no financial return. Just emotional. But the dollar amounts themselves are trivial to multi billionaires. Yeah, we've gotten so desensitized to billionaires, we don't even notice that their wealth constantly increases faster than they can spend it down. $39m is 3.9% of $1b or the equivalent of $3900 for someone worth $100k. Less than a nosebleed ticket to the championship. Also, I disagree, there is potential financial return, it's just indirect. How much more often have you heard about Cuban lately than you usually do? Guys like him turn publicity into dollars. Quote

He gets to point to Josh Hoover everytime he scores a TD to Nick Marsh and tell all his buddies he made that happen. He gets exposure and to have a blast. moyemayhem 1 Quote

Absolutely, the sentimental value is through the roof. I would do the same in a heartbeat. The access to the team and Cig, bragging rights, and a million little perks we don't even think of. Like, insane memorabilia too. You think they'd say no if Cuban('s assistant) asked for something like Mendoza's Dive helmet (with personalized signature, of course) or jersey? He could get all sorts of stuff that would just be cycled back into the system otherwise and give it to clients/associates/partners. And that's just the first thing my limited mind can think of. Hell, if I had even a fraction of his wealth, I can't even tell you how much I would give the team to have a candid promise-never-to-repeat-it conversation with Cig. Quote

hoosierdogg Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Who could have imagined that Indiana would have beat Miami without a rushing TD from Hemby, Black or Martin, and without a pass reception TD from Sarrat, Cooper, Becker, or Williams and no passes for TDs from Mendoza. That is crazy, man I love this team. Another wild stat I saw today was TE Nowakowski lined up as a fullback twice this year, with two carries for a total of two yards resulting in two TDs. You can't get any more efficient than that. southsidehoosier, Pagoda, ALASKA HOOSIER and 3 others 6 Quote

They said for them to do a movie enough time would have to pass for that to happen for historical significance. Quote
