cthomas Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I don't think the first game will have much bearing on this one. Both teams have played a lot of football since then. Whoever executes their game plan the best wins. Cig will have them ready. southsidehoosier, ALASKA HOOSIER, AZ Hoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

In the back of my mind though, the slightest concern I have about having played them already is what they could have learned about individual player tendencies. Not a football expert at all and don't pretend to be, but I'd think that every position group may have certain tells that you'd pick up more easily after having already seen it up close. That said, I don't think there's anything that significant there or it probably already would have been exploited at some point. Won't be easy the rest of the way no matter who we play. So excited. cthomas Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I believe that if our O-line holds up, we win this game. We have more good receivers than they can cover. Run the ball just enough to unleash the Mendosa. Not worried at all about our defense, they have been there all year. Watching Oregon against Texas Tech I thought they were sloppy at times and made mistakes with the ball. They do that against us and we'll make them pay. Home Jersey, ALASKA HOOSIER and southsidehoosier 3 Quote

HinnyHoosier Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I kind of boil it down to this in my mind: Since the first meeting, who has improved more? In a nutshell I rest easier knowing that's us, and that Dan Lanning is not Curt Cignetti. Home Jersey, Dave from Dayton, ALASKA HOOSIER and 3 others 6 Quote
Home Jersey Posted January 4 Posted January 4 CBS college football reporting Charlie Weis Jr is "likely" the only one of the 6 LSU bound assistants expected to stay with Ole Miss for the remainder of its CFP run ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Plus I felt Oregons offense was very pedestrian vs TT Quote

Moore has 4 TDs and 3 picks in the playoffs and they played JMU the team that wasn’t supposed to be here. They keep needing 4th downs to sustain drives. That’s not a recipe for success They only scored 16 against Texas tech until they kept trying to punch it in even after Texas tech and tapped. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
TTT Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I get that orange crush feeling IU vs Ducks…..IU crushes the Ducks by setting tone with running game. Quote

Hovadipo Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Anyone on here that purchased Peach Bowl tickets through IU? I have applied for natty tickets and am wondering when notification went out that you got them. Trying to figure out when I should expect to hear something so I can be ready to book travel if needed. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
OliviaPope40 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 The fact that we have to wait until the end of work week for this game. Quote

Even in garage time, that's a red flag for a playoff team. Shutting out Tech doesn't impress me because Tech never impressed me. Their offensive ranks were high because the schedule was soft. Quote

What I saw from Tech that game was the Tech Offense being bad. Just making bad decisions it wasn’t anything special Oregon was doing. HinnyHoosier 1 Quote

They gave up two FG’s before the game was basically over and they let up. I personally think it’s gonna be a tough game. I think we should win but anything can happen and they have the type of defense capable of giving us some trouble à la Iowa/PSU/OSU. Home Jersey and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
Banksyrules Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I think we’ll throw triple the amount of deep passes this game. Just getting the feeling that they’ll do everything to stop the run game. Quote
