Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 20, 2025 Posted December 20, 2025 Well after that awesome display of offensive firepower in the 2nd half of today's game, my body's already tingling with anticipation for Monday night's riveting matchup. NOT. Siena (9-3) averages 70 ppg with a +7 margin. They shoot 46% FG but just 29% on 3s. They average 35 rpg with a +4 margin. 3 players average in double figures led by Gavin Doty at 14.8ppg. Their best 3-point shooter is Christian Jones at 36.6%. Tasman Goodrick their best rebounder at 7.3/gm. I've no doubt we'll win this game but this is the last softball non-con game of the season. Next up we'll host Washington (7-4) on Jan. 4., and it's all B1G from there on out. Radio Live Stats WayneFleekHoosier, HoosierCoop, Ryno6284 and 1 other 2 1 1 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 20, 2025 Posted December 20, 2025 IU has a chance to end the non conference part of the schedule with a Q3 win. Enter the B1G final 18 games with a 10-3 record. With their 2 non conference losses in the Q1a territory. Their conference loss a Q2 road loss. As of now they will have 11 Q 1 opportunities and 2 Q2 along with 5 Q3 games. I expect some of those Q3 to be Q2 by the end of the year. IU still has everything in front of them heading into conference play. They will have a chance to be in that second tier of tourney teams fighting for an at-large bid. Not going to be the top of the league but are going to have a chance at being an at-large B1G team. Crimson and Cream Posted December 22, 2025 Posted December 22, 2025 Really hope to see Drake out there tomorrow. He's been dressed but unavailable to play the last 2 games so he's gotta be close. We could use the extra ball handler. Quote

I wonder if they have any athletic bigs/wings that could give us trouble. They are ~170/150ish on Kenpom/Torvik. So pretty close to Incarnate Word, efficiency ranking wise. Also, what’s up with the schedule? 2 games in 3 days then almost a week off. I guess it gives the guys a chance to go home for Christmas, hopefully. Otherwise, I don’t know if I necessarily love an almost two week break before conference play. Quote
mamasa Posted December 22, 2025 Posted December 22, 2025 I can't believe how awful this team is. I need to burn all IU basketball apparel. Close the university. Fire everyone who works in the basketball program. I can't believe we recruited (insert whoever's name that doesn't play well) Bring back Everett Dean and Woodson. Just summarizing how I anticipate the forum looking during tonight's game Dave from Dayton, Stuhoo, IUHoosierJoe and 4 others 1 6 Quote

One of these days, our athletic department will finally figure out how to properly schedule for basketball. I'm expecting a rough game tonight. We always seem to look fatigued and slow-footed right before Christmas. That game against Washington after nearly two weeks off might be rough as well. Quote
