But to leave a coaching staff that proven they can develop players—and therefore, their future earnings potential—far better than any other coaching staff in the country, is indeed objectively foolish. But why leave a coaching staff that is going to get you to the NFL and going to have you the most ready for a long successful career? Jeff Flabjohns 1 Quote

As for why a player might leave, I gave you a few possibilities. My point is that we don’t know what’s inside a player’s mind or what might motivate him to leave. You say leaving is foolish. That’s a perfectly okay opinion to have. IUHoosierJoe 1 Quote

I also agree with the sentiment that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence. But young people jump at or are attracted to perceived better opportunities all the time. Quote

Seeing the posts about coaches and agents contacting "signed" kids, and then stuff like this - "rumors ... trying to poach"... how much "contact" is ok before it becomes "tampering"? What are the rules? Are there any, really? J34 1 Quote

What are the rules? Are there any, really? There is no rule on tampering. Mainly because there is no organization, like the NFL, to enforce it. The best you have is maybe a contract lawsuit based on tortious interference. But that is a stretch. Quote
