On3 and The Daily Hoosier both reporting S Amare Ferrell will return for the '26 season

That's a big time retention.  Awesome news.

I'm not sure on safety alignment this year. They clearly like Baldwin at Rover with his instincts, physical tools... I feel like Sanks fits there, too, more so than Zachman, as an athlete.

I think our back two safeties are nearly interchangeable with as much disguise, zone blitz that we do.

So from 15-0 (for now) to 0-12. Like literally first to worst.

Maybe just to get to play?  Possibly portal in a year or two to a better team is my guess.  I would bet many younger players will do this.

I will wait to see. I'm not falling into the trap of necessarily thinking that higher touted players equals higher level play. We will be very, very good, but even better than this year is a near impossible standard.

The offense is where the light shines, but the defense is the anchor of the program.

100%

Although I believe Cig is very similar to Geno at UCONN, demanding higher level play from the highest level players. Can't wait to see elite talent, being coached up in Bloomington again. Just didn't dream it would be in Memorial Stadium.

Matching this years defense and offensive efficiency, might be very difficult

What a ride for all our Hoosier family!

Watching IU and then watching other teams, it's clear they are fundamentally sound with eveything they do.  Very few mistakes.
