I hope so, would be great if he could open that bag  like yesterday.

I know it shouldn’t be, but it might  be innately hard to get up for teams that they also haven’t heard of who are actually not a bad team.

This is worth a watch. He addresses many of the questions/points raised here.

The last question is about the difference on offense first 3 games vs last 2 games

"A little bit how we're being guarded, like we talked about. The switching, we don't get to move it quite as easily. When some of the actions where they're not switching, you set a pindown and now a guy comes off a screen and he's got an advantage because his guys trailing vs. when they switch it, they're coming off and taking away that next pass so now you've got to get to a second action. So it just takes a little bit for us as an offense right now and that's what we're working on getting better at - how do we exploit that and use that to our advantage? And we'll get there. It just hasn't been very clean these last couple games."

What is it going to take to get you to change your name to JimmerYes?

I will become JimmerYes if we can split UofL and UK. Don’t care which. I grew up just across the bridge from Louisville and now live in Lexington. I will have to enter hibernation if we lose both.

We are regressing and are going to be in trouble soon. We’ve looked awful 2 straight. Discombobulated/disjointed offense. Missing shots. Ball movement is stagnant. Cuts are our best offense but we don’t have the athletes to finish.

Reed Bailey has a skillset but he’s the softest big I’ve seen in some time. Completely weak handed.

Nervous for the B1G with how we look.

I'm not jumping off the ledge.  At the end of the day, they are just young dudes and it's difficult to get up for a game against "who the hell are they U" and a half empty stadium.  Even I wasn't excited about this game -- listened to first half in car on the way home, and kinda watched second half while eating dinner.  Ho hum.  We'll see if they bounce back against Kansas State.

I feel like my preseason assessments are proving true with this roster.

Was hoping we’d have 4 shooters on the court at all times to cover our deficiencies but if we only have 2 that’s easy to defend.

Sledding is going to get rough really soon. Ready to figure it out one way or another.

We should have came out on fire this game after last performance and this was the effort we got? Concerning.

I would have guessed a bottle of Beam might do it.

I said a couple of games ago that Alexis would take over the starting spot.  While he hasn't yet, he is getting starter's minutes.

We have looked bad these last 2 games, but im not nervous about the direction we are going. This is 2 games. Counting the Baylor game, we played 4 good to very good games. IMO, after 2 bad games, throwing in the towel now is a hot take. If it continues, I'll join the pessimists. If they get back to playing hard like they did in 4 games, this team will be just fine.
I would like Bailey to either get stronger with the ball or start Alexis, although it seems DD likes him off the bench to provide a spark. Defensive rebounding is my biggest concern.

Again, if the lackluster play continues, I will re-evaluate my thoughts.

DeVries is not Woodson. He is not Archie. He is not Crean. But unfortunately, we've endured those three since 2008... so the experience, feelings, even early-onset panic seem inevitable.

In the past couple of games, we've seen this team play down to the level of the competition - an experience that we saw far too often in the recent past.

I'm willing to give DeVries a chance to sort this out. We've still got some injuries to work through, and some guys who may or may not pan out. I'm not thrilled with what I've seen lately, but also not ready to pull the plug.

Fix the stagnation on offense, the lack of rebounding and let's see where this goes.

This team had a chance to pull us back in and things looked good until the last 2 games.  Maybe when we play better comp we will play with some sense of urgency and passion. Too easy to just basically show up and win. Now the apathy is admittedly coming back.
