Winning by 23 on the road against Marquette was not on my Bingo card.   We were only outrebounded 39-34.  We shot 50% from the field; 50% on 3s; 20-24 FTs.    We had 27 assists on 33 made FGs.  This team knows how to keep the ball moving and find the open man.  What a great weekend to be a Hoosier.

Forgot to mention we had only 8 TOs and Marquette had 15.

We had like 26 assists on idk how many made shots, a lot less turnovers than them, and held our own on the boards. Plus overcame absurd foul trouble. Amazing what having shooters can do

Wouldn’t the answer be 26?

Tons to like.

Spacing, shooting, shot selection, turnover ratio etc etc.

One of the very few things I didn’t like was a a few possessions in a row in which the ball really seemed to “stick” with Conerway.  Yep, not earth shattering but keep that ball moving.

Guys — we have a good ball club run by a good coach.
Trying not to get too high on this game, but very, very encouraging. The early worries about how the “ mid major all stars” as someone dubbed them should have been seriously tempered today.

Balanced O, spread floor, open lanes, weak-side exploited, running, scoring team that limits TO’s including when pressed, transition D, man to man and zone D, players who take pride in D, players who compliment each other across the floor, experienced, winning players, a coach and staff who know how to use them and develop cohesion and chemistry quickly.
Ahhhhhbmy beer tastes better

There will be nights when the 3s don't fall and we can't secure a rebound. We'll get out-physicaled a few times on the road.

But this team is well-coached and we run some beautiful offense. Looks like a tournament team at a minimum.

Remember a huge win over Marquette a few years back.

A couple months later, the entire season went off the rails.

I have confidence D-Rock won't let that happen again.

Yes, but that was at home. We are always good for a few big home wins even when we suck.

This is more like how Louisville showed up vs us last year in Bahamas. Neutral court, new coach and new roster. Came out and dominated and set the tone for a great first season.

It's easy to get caught up in the moment, but I am not a rah rah guy for the most part. I see something special about this team, the way they play together and interact with each other....this team is top 5  in the B1G in my humble opinion!
