Next week they'll pass up on Oregon at Penn St cuz a dorm at Auburn is having a bake sale. Class of '66 Old Fart, DChoosier, Pagoda and 2 others 5 Quote

I have a brand new tinfoil hat for this season and I have a theory that seems to be happening right before our eyes....the national media was so butt hurt that Indiana got in the CFP last season that they have put their collective pinheads together and decided to not promote Indiana in any way, down play our wins, down play our players and our coach....now they may be forced to change their strategy if the Hoosiers win some of these games against ranked opponents, but until then they don't want to put us in the conversation for a spot in the CFP! Herbie once again dumped on IU…”they haven’t played NOBODY”, yet our best opponent is better than Illinois’ best opponent by every metric that matters lol. Listening to those guys “analyze” the game it was pretty obvious none of them have watched either team and just chose Illinois based on Bielema and Altmeyer having SEC ties. southsidehoosier, OliviaPope40, DChoosier and 2 others 3 2 Quote

As you stated 4 out of 5 of the ESPN SEC pundits picked Illinois to win BUT…..I predict that when IU beats Illinois all 4 of them will make a u-turn and say Indiana beat a bad/overrated Illinois team. He and Saban both have been saying all season that losing to ranked opponents should matter more than winning against non ranked opponents. It's a narrative the network has been pushing since the 10-point first round loss to the CFP runner-up last year. RoadRage, DChoosier, Pagoda and 2 others 5 Quote

I’m looking at Week 6 and I don’t know how GameDay avoids Miami at Florida State. They are still livid in Tallahassee over 2023 and Herbie being the de facto spokesman for why they were left out. It could be a rough day of heckling for Herbie… which is nice to think about. They won’t give him a pass because he brought his dog. RoadRage, OliviaPope40 and LIHoosier 2 1 Quote

TheWatShot Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 I'd say there's a good chance none of those guys know anything about IU or Illinois and just went with Illinois because they're ranked higher. RoadRage and Pagoda 2 Quote

I tend to agree because Saban was talking about physical football. It basically told me that he hasn't been paying attention to 2025 IUFB. Both might be thinking it's the same type of team from last year. Or they're just haters. Regardless, if IUFB wins they'll be forced to pay attention because our schedule isn't a picnic. Quote

My money is on Vandy at Bama if Bama beats UGA. There’s a path to SMU/Cuse and Miss State/Texas A&M having buzz that week too. Quote
DChoosier Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Funny tweet during todays Clemson weather delay due to lightening…. UPDATE: After being locked up with Tom Allen for 30 minutes, the #Clemson defense would rather take their changes against the lightning. Josh Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 The game is so late today I worked a brilliant plan to make it happen sooner. There's still time for you to get in too. I started drinking about noon, so I'll need a nap soon, I'll wake up and it will be gametime! That's how you time travel fellas. Rico and thebigweave 1 1 Quote

Yep Illinois is really hurting on the injury front early in the season. Ours hurt too but theirs are maybe more impactful. Either way, gotta line up and get the W. Quote
