Brand. We all know it unfortunately. Honestly think we are a top 5 team in the country.

Right so no reason at all. "Brand" isnt a reason at all to rank those 3 teams ahead us.

And we are very very much building a brand.

If this year continues to go well, we will start to be a ‘benefit of the doubt’ team next season.

We are building a brand.

Regardless if we are ranked correctly, too low or too high this week……..I do think that if we had the exact same results 3 or 4 years ago there is no way we would have been ranked above 1 loss Alabama, LSU and Georgia, as we are now.  We most likely would have been an undefeated team ranked in the 14-18 range around where Missouri is this year.

We are making some “brand progress” but really would be helpful to be competitive (or win) at Oregon.

The Old Brass Spittoon game time has been set.

Good news: MSU game is 3:30PM.

Bad news: We’re back on the ‘cock for the second time this year!  Terrible.

Makes my purchase a little more tolerable at least. Guess is I’ll have to keep it another month with Wisconsin and Purdue to close out the season

Was the MSU game the only one exclusively on Peacock last year?

Having 2 this year is slightly annoying.

I realize this a an obvious statement but it is extremely important that we are competitive (or win) at Oregon.
We are currently in great shape for the CFP, being ranked 7th, but of the 8 teams behind us 5 of them are SEC teams in addition to Michigan.  I’m guessing a number of pollsters would love to see us fall flat on our face in Oregon and in addition a potential win at PSU will be met, by some (especially SEC fans) with a shrug.  Can’t wait for Saturday.

PS. Let’s hope Illinois and Iowa go on win streaks so we have quality wins to point to.

From Alec Lasley - Indiana is one of three programs to keep an eye on for 2026 safety Khmari Bing following a decommitment from Maryland,

He visited OSU last weekend.
In this recruiting class OSU already has a 5 star safety committed plus another safety that is the 6th ranked safety in the country! At some point you would think that Cig’s (and the staff) ability to turn zero star guys into players would have more appeal to a recruit than battling multiple highly ranked guys for playing time.

I unfortunately think, outside of a loss at the buzzer, we'll fall like a rock if we lose out there this weekend. Luckily, we have a bunch of winnable games in between this one and PSU to work our way back up.

The PSU game might not be what we are hoping it will be. By the time we play them they might already have 4 losses. Who knows man. The best way to avoid all this poop is to just beat every team.

And if we win out there? We will have the single best win by any team this season, will have beaten three top 40 teams, including two of them on the road, and will be undefeated. One would think that would mean we will be top five and ranked higher than Oregon.

One. Would. Think.

Does anyone have solid information about NIL funds this season? Like really solid info. Send me a DM if you don't feel comfortable going public about it.

I'm wondering if we're competing with Oregon. The perception is Oregon has a truck load.
