Not so much, though that’s not a positive for him. There was some belief / hope that TG would retire over the last few years, but he wasn’t of a mind to do that. So he was told it was time to go, and that’s not what he wanted or expected from his employers of 40+ years. The coaching change provided a natural time to do it, but it wasn’t the new coach’s call at all. This was 100% the AD’s decision in a belt-tightening environment.

Nice... so Tim Garl was "Woodson-ed".

Tim garl was involved in the accusations made by a few players of wrong doing years ago. I feel the administration just felt it was best to move on regardless of his true involvement and start freash

Just found out Nick Norton went to Central Catholic High School in Bloomington, IL, which was my high school’s rival, University High School. Not sure how I feel about the hire now. Those Central Catholic turds tried to fight me 25 years ago for hanging with their cheerleaders. #neverforget

Yes, I know that... but our resident know-it-all (KathywithaC) said that this wasn't about that... RIF.

So Norton and Adams joining.

Cliff Marshall announced on his twitter he's not being retained. Will be interesting to see what happens with Jody and Calbert.

Looks like Dolson is cleaning house and going for a complete fresh start... based on that, Jordan and Cheaney are gone.

Ryan Horn is the same position as Cliff, right? Meaning I thought it's been known for a while that Cliff was gone since Horn was coming.

As for Garl, he'll be 69 years old this summer so it's not like he's getting cut out of his prime earning years.  The times they are a changin' and this is as good of a time as any for a clean sweep.

As for Cliff Marshall, he posted the following farewell message which is definitely the high road to take.

“My family and I will miss being a part of one of the greatest basketball programs in the country. We lived it and we loved it. To the players, coaches, administration, support staff, student managers, fans, and media members whom I have met along the way, I am grateful for each one of you. I have learned in my 25 years as a coach that the results are temporary, but the relationships are eternal. I thank God for the moments that became memories over the last 8 years. I don’t know what my future holds, but I know who holds my future."

They are but Scott has given full authority to CDD to hire his staff so any notion of Scott “cleaning house” is misdirected.

It’s kind of stressful, but this is where I am.

The program we love has been ruined under CAM and Woodson. It needs a hard re-set to return to a serious, contending program.

I'm especially happy to see Kenya Hunter, Brian Walsh, and Clif Marshall go. Between the 3 of them, that's 24 years of experience in those losing cultures.
