Clark is currently a Tennessee assistant coach. You are referring to Achoki Moikobu who is an ACcat TT with ties to Sunrise Christian.

Clark was an assistant coach at Sunrise Christian Academy from 2017-19.  Moikobu spent six seasons as a coach at Sunrise.  They both have ties.

Thanks for the correction  - didn't realize Clark's Sunrise connection.

Rabjohns is saying TT has offered Moikobu "a substantial raise and is doing everything it can to try to keep him." Before saying that, he said a mutual friend was confident Moikobu would go to IU.

He's still hearing Murphey, Moikobu, and Capko as the potential assistant coaches. No mention of Clark from Tennessee.

Edit: From what I could find, Moikobu has been making $250k. Under Woodson, that was about what the lowest paid assistant (Walsh) was making. The other 2 were over $400k.

It’s hard to get big time assistants. Teams pay to keep them just like we did in football this year.

Could make sense to overpay them now. Over time the rest may catch up but if they are working out well then we should be able to match offers for them unless for a HC position

Did he say why it’s taking so long to make the rest or when they could be named?

No. Said we might hear something this week but he doesn't seem to know.

He did say IU would have 5 assistants instead of just 3 before.

These coaches have big time life decisions to make.    Stay at programs that made the Elite 8 or come join someone you worked for before at a rebuild.   These other schools are not going to give up these coaches without a fight.

Do you think we could ever get a guy like Kelvin Sampson here at IU?

Yes, the probably of IU getting a guy like Kelvin Sampson is 100% since they hired him in 2006.

If you mean hire another guy like him? Remains to be seen. Hopefully, CDD will be wildly successful so it won't be necessary.

You mean the one that has been to 6 straight sweet 16s, 2 final 4s in 4 years and maybe a national championship here in a few minutes?

That one
