Kory will return to Indiana. Hulls will be retained. Calbert, likely to return to Pacers or be retained.

I know Calbert wants to be back no matter who the coach is. I can’t imagine them not finding a spot for him somewhere. If not with the program then with the athletic department.

He's had 4 assistant coaches leave to P5 jobs. And one is a head coach. Three of his former players are assistant coaches on D1 staffs and 5 of his players are playing overseas. That's just a little about what he's done while at Drake.

Really interesting question.  Was it some new high dollar donors who were glad Woody was gone or did the Woody donors maintain their financial support realizing it was for the good of the program?

Exactly. Did Dolson promise them a better suite for football games in exchange for 6 million dollars?

Would loyalty be an issue? Serious question, as I know Calbert was close with Woodson... don't think DeVries would be threatened by that, just curious of that would be a thing on coaching staffs...

I’m sure it could be but Calbert is loyal to IU. I just think he wanted to do the best job possible to send Mike out. But his main thing is working with players one on one in the off season.

He got folks to pay $15M for Allen’s buyout, which as much as I like Scott, was a buyout Scott was responsible for.  That must have been a tough sell lol.

Honestly I don’t know how much of Devries is covered by donations vs other revenue sources like media rights increases that are coming.  It’s a good question, the athletic dept is always a bit opaque to outsiders like me.

Let’s hope the buyout terms for Darian are reasonable. Lastly, no more one year extensions have two years, Dolson. 

Doubt IU would fire a guy before year 4–even in this modern environment—so you just really need to see what years 5 and 6 are in terms of guaranteed money.
