What a great topic! It made me realize I have a horrible memory. I recall Scout, HSN and have been almost exclusively on BTB for the past 10 years as MikeRoberts and sometimes KathywithaC

My original username here was Feathery. Forgot my password and the site wouldn’t let me reset it. So I created a new account. Never met anyone on here but am FB friends with some redhead named @JaybobHoosier

Started on Peegs free board in 2001 with Chris007. I actually tried to sign up as Chris7 but it told me it was taken and offered Chris007. Mostly just posted on the off-topics board back then because all the good info was on the pay and I was too cheap to pay. Still the case today. I lurked on here for a while then started posting towards the end of the Crean era I think. Been here ever since.

There was one poster that would constantly either change his handle or simply create a new account (not sure why), but it was the same person.  You could tell by the way he wrote and who would instantly reply to him.  This poster had the online persona of a clique leader and several other posters would stick by his side.  He would often post about the Grateful Dead but he absolutely HATED Lindsey Buckingham and often posted as much.  I don't know if Lindsey hit the guy's dog over the head with his guitar or what but his disdain for Buckingham was unmatched.  

One day I got brave and simply had to state that Buckingham is a great guitarist with his own unique style, and I couldn't quite understand the dislike this poster had for him.  Big mistake.  I got cyber jumped in the Peegs back alley but not only by that poster but his cronies as well and thrown into the virtual dumpster!  

I know this story is rambling but just trying to give a little big of insight of how crazy it could be there.

So if this person is here and reading this, Lindsey Buckingham kicks a**!

 

I remember that guy too because I'm a deadhead. He hated Lindsey but loved coffee and smoking weed. He did have people who followed him around. For the record I have never had any problems with Lindsey or Fleetwood Mac. That is hilarious and forgot about that. Was it Mr. Charlie?

There was a guy on the OurHoosierBoard that used to go by the name Badger Breast Milk.  He named himself after Brian Butch and his man boobs.  Don't think he ever migrated over here, though.

From there I went to OurHoosierboard as I followed the founder of it, SirBrianWilson, who recruited a bunch of us from ESPN to come to OHB.  My username was DedicatedIUfan and sadly, I was probably the last poster on that board as I was hoping it would start back up. Brumdog (RaceToTheTop) came back a few times and mentioned to me he was on BTB, and I started here about this time last year.

 

Fellow OHB'er.  Definitely remember Dedicated over at the OHB board.  Not sure how many others migrated over here once OHB started dying......big posters over there included Dedicated, the aforementioned SirBrianWilson, Jazen, Dreachon, IUColtfan.....and the worst poster I've ever seen, went by BoilerLars.  Came from the Purdue side of the board and I think he became the only poster in OHB history to get banned.  Starting spamming the board and using multiple accounts.

bronkonagurski still posts on HSN. 

 

As for me I started on the old IndyStar board under a name I can't even remember. I posted some at Peegs under my initials. I've posted here and on HSN for years under my current name. I usually just read here more than I post, but that's because this board.moves so much faster that by the time I catch up.on a thread, what I would have to say has generally already been said by someone else, usually one of the smarter posters. :).

YES!! Mr. Charlie was one of his names and possibly the last one of his names I recall. The guy had a very unhealthy dislike for Lindsey Buckingham and would just occasionally rant about his unworthy guitar skills.
