Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 Well Scott Dolson. We're waiting. NW (11-7) (2-5) but 9-1 at home. Wildcats average 74 ppg vs their opponents 68 ppg. 32% on 3s averaging 6 made/game. No significant rebounding edge 35 to 34/game. They ride Nick Martinelli and Brooks Barnhizer hard as both average 37 min./game. Martinelli their leading scorer at 20 ppg and he shoots 41% on 3s. DChoosier Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 As you said NW is 9-1 at home. They have beaten Illinois and Maryland at home while losing to MSU. Torvik only gives us a 33% chance of winning with NW being favored by 4. Will be surprising to see us get 2 BT road wins in a row. Although it will feel like I’m going to work, rather than something fun to look forward too, I’ll be watching as always. Dave from Dayton 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 21, 2025 Author Posted January 21, 2025 Brandon Gaudin (pxp), Robbie Hummel (analyst), and Andy Katz (sideline) will call #iubb at Northwestern tomorrow evening for BTN at 7 p.m. ET. OliviaPope40 1 Quote

Uspshoosier Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 Another opportunity for IU to get a Q1 road win from top 51 NET. Fans see 11-7 team while committee sees a team fighting for the bubble that has home win over Illinois. DChoosier, Dave from Dayton and Stuhoo 3 Quote
Hovadipo Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 I've almost come to appreciate Northwestern unapologetically playing trashketball. Playing against them up there is really annoying and their home crowd is usually really good since the renovation. This feels like one you just hope to steal. Stuhoo Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 We will see - they won't out-talent us but their fans are rabid and close to the court, they hack like crazy and dare refs to call them all, and Martinelli and Barnheizer are awesome, super hard-working, and annoying. Nicholson is the perfect player to push back on Ballo - better than any other big in the conference because he's a big, strong brute that knows what he's doing and doesn't need to work much on the offensive end. If we can stick a couple of early fouls on Nicholson I like our chances but otherwise? This could be another "IU gets sad and stops trying" night. thebigweave, cybergates and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 1 Quote

coonhounds Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 These dudes looked pretty good up at michigan. I hope our guys plan to bring a bit more than we had at ohio. I think this will take a pretty good showing to win. I doubt we can have another bako no show and win imoSent from my SM-S926U using Tapatalk Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 Any word on Tucker or Reneau? IU is stuck with an eight man rotation without them. FWIW, the player whom IU has had the best +/- with on the court per minute played is.......Malik Reneau. Now part of that is the horrible results that IU has had when Woodson has put four or five bench players on the court together, especially early in the year, but that doesn't explain it all. Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 We blew out NU in Archie Miller's first season. We've beaten them 3 times since then by a total of 9 points. Quote

WeeDerkaNaut Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 Reneau plays...Do I assume he's gonna be motivated to go off and change my prediction again OR do I feel like he's going to be tentative and not play to full capacity? It does feel like a must win to save the king...ugh, changing it again LMFAO Quote
