Is it me or was Langdon Hatton the only one who came to play today and care.

Langdon Hatton needs to play more minutes.   Honestly, it wouldn’t bother me if he got half of Reneau’s minutes.  I think Reneau is a lazy defender, rebounder, and overall player.  He’s a black hole on offense, IMO and I know others don’t feel that way.  Hatton boxes out when rebounding, walls up on D.  He’s not a perfect player but seems to do a lot of the intangibles this team needs

Here’s the problem. Our 2 most fundamental winning basketball players are Leal and Hatton. Make the right reads, plays, etc.

However Reneau by far is our best option when you gotta get a bucket. He just is. He’s gotta play. My guess is Hatton is smart and can play WITH Reneau. If he takes minutes it should probably be from Ballo. Next problem, Ballo is by far our best rim defender of the coach was smart enough to leave him near the rim and teach him how not to overreact on Drives.

This team overall is cheeks.

I’ve been saying all season long Goode just isn’t it. He’s not a good enough shooter to make up for being a complete liability on defense. I don’t really care for anything Carlyle does besides his hustle. Play Leal.

Man, it’s just whatever but again our team had a week to prepare and rest and we polished the turd.

Kid of nice to see the unathletic white dude who knows how to play the game, actually play the game within his role.

I would like to see Reneau with a mysterious lower leg injury against Rutgers and start Tucker instead of Goode. Then see what that one big line-up looks like, either way it's a heartless,  poor coached team that gets worse every game. Now we have the Woody January slump coming. 2-7 over the next nine.

So I was asked about the atmosphere tonight we finally got back to Fort Wayne so here is my update.

the minute Woody came out, a guy behind me said “so you think we will get Steven’s after this season?”….several times I engaged with others around me who brought up that Woodson has to go. A lot of comments were made about how we don’t go after Indiana kids…and these guys were my age (35-40 years old). The crowd I believe was announced to have been 14,499. It felt like a good atmosphere, but Fish made the point on post game that a lot of people that don’t normally come to games come this time of year because of the students being gone.

When the game was close (most of the way) there were a lot of people dogging the team for missed free throws and bad defense. Woody was not booed that I could hear at all. But a lot of trash talking his coaching ability.

I find it hard to believe that the announced attendance was anything but the full capacity of 17,300+ because games are all sold out. That said I suppose that if the mini-series games didn't sell out the 14,449 attendance that you referenced could be a realistic reflection of seats sold. Do you think that they were all filled?

I like Tucker. Tons of potential. Unfortunately he’s an odd fit with this team. In that role we need somebody who can play off the ball and knock down 3s. Tucker likes to dribble into his shot in the midrange.

Honestly I think Galloway is in the same spot where he excels with the ball in his hands and when he starts he has to play almost purely off ball.

These team has talent that needs coached desperately.

I don't know that I really come away with the thought that Hatton needs to play more.  He had a really good game but I doubt that translates to playing against Big Ten teams.  Our ceiling is really low if we have to count on Hatton and Leal for big minutes.  But it's obvious right now that the talented players aren't getting anywhere near their potential.

I disagree. I don’t think he should get 20 minutes a game but he tends to do a lot of the little things that wins ball games.  He was the only one that I’ve pretty much have seen all year boxing his guy out to get a rebound.  He could play 10-12 minutes a game, because I know his minutes will be positive minutes

They were not all filled, balcony had quite a few empty….and believe me that’s what they announced

Probably due to the Xmas break. But tend to think we’ll see attendance continue to drop if as now looks likely the team continues to play poorly under Woodson’s lack of coaching

I was there last Saturday for Chattanooga game and I felt like they announced a attendance was far less than 17. The balcony was empty where I sat. The rest was plenty of open seats. There looked like far more last night

My problem is that it’s based on what he did against Winthrop.  I’m glad he’s an option at least.
