They don’t…lol.

Its and ESPN and SEC affair. Film on a 17 point loss would’ve showed us as close except for two bonehead special teams plays. Annoncers were even lobbying for it. Now is just a curb stomping.

Yep,

I perked up when the announcer was throwing out the “they were close except for 2 special team plays” excuse (even though we were outclassed) but then they got the last TD. That last TD might have been very detrimental.

I have no doubt Tom Allen's Hoosiers would lose to Purdue next week....Cig won't let that happen! We had a bad game today, OSU is better, but we also made unforced errors that were uncharacteristic. Still a great season and Cig is here thru 2032, so we will have another chances!

Once we started rolling and had a chance at the CFP I said I actually preferred we did just enough to make the playoff but not have to deal with the big ten championship since we’d prob be 11-1 anyway. Maybe this is for the best. But I hate Ohio state. What a waste of the color red pairing it with gray…

Let’s hope Minny beats PSU, Army beats ND

One of these two happening pretty much erases the margin issue from today imo. Kansas did their job last week; that almost locked in the Big 12 being a one bid league.

We have one foot in the playoff grave but….

Ole Miss lost

Let’s hope Minny beats PSU, Army beats ND and Kansas beats Colorado and Oklahoma beats Bama…..
Who knows?

Who knows if it’ll even take all that but man would it be nice if it played out that way. If Notre Dame loses to Army, that is going to shake things up big time.

I would not be all that shocked if Minnesota gives Penn state a game

I think PSU is overrated most years.
They are often treated as a top tier team but in reality they are usually a high mid-tier team.

Finebaum will defend the Ole Miss loss because Florida was a very, very strong 5-5 SEC team heading into todays game

This should be funny, but I will not be surprised if Ole Miss is 12 this week and IU is 13. I’m probably the most pessimistic guy around here on this question, but I’m convinced that the committee wants no part of IU’s strength of schedule and losing today while not looking particularly good will give them the excuse they need to leave them out.

Then why were we #5 to begin the week?

That Ole Miss loss may be all that we need.

I think so. Haven’t really mapped it out but it likely should. You can get 4 sec, 4 big, b12, acc, nd and one other darling in now.

No one else has argument if things play out as they should, imo. Last thing you want is ND to lose close to Army. Miami close loss. AM to upset Texas, etc…. Then have army be in a great story and IU, Boise, smu potential 2 loss Texas, Texas am, Miami and ND jockeying for 3 or 4 remaining spots.  IUs resume would be shakey there
