I'm fine with giving a guy 15 yards for targeting, but they shouldn't always be ejected.

Seems like 95% of targeting calls are incidental -- or not on purpose. I have seen some who do it on purpose.

That one clearly wasn't one of those. He did lead with his head, but when he started, the guy's back was to him.

That's basically the definition of a targeting call.

You’re right, it is. Still think context should matter. Both guys ok? Not directly helmet to helmet? Keep it pushing.

Suhr the Elder suggested a 'yellow card' type penalty, similar to what they have for unsportsmanlike conduct where you get the penalty for the 1st and get DQ'd for the 2nd.

A scoring drive from our 20 with 1:26 to go is a big ask -- but why not try?
Hate running out the clock here.
I am with you....but with all that happened on our previous drive that ended in a field goal, and the fact that we just took all potential momentum from them...twice on their last drive, maybe it was just time to regroup in the locker room and not give them any reason to feel good going into half.

That works.  If you do it once, you get reprimanded cuz it was probably an accident but if you do it again they lose all patience with you.

Agree, put yourself in that exact position and tell me how you engage. Split second there.
