Daughter lives in S. Diego on a canyon at Balboa Park.  Hit a number of beaches from the border (Imperial) to Pacific to LaJolla to San Clemente to Laguna to Newport to Huntington Rt. 66 end up to Santa Barbara.  Primitive camped above Bridal Veil Falls in Yosemite...Been up and down and around the east coast too.   Portugal, south of France... the Med...Honeymooned in the Virgin Islands.  But my favorite beaches are on Oahu.  Of course, the quarries in B'town aren't half bad...and Griffy was a great...experience...y'know what I mean..

The 2024 'surprise stars' offense

Kurtis Rourke, Indiana. I don't want to alarm anybody, but Indiana -- the Indiana that has won more than eight games in a season just twice and hasn't done so since the Beatles were still together -- now has, per SP+, a 55% chance of finishing the regular season 9-3 or better. And while Curt Cignetti's army of James Madison transfers has played a huge role in that, another newcomer has played an even larger role.

I am dying to see how the next few weeks shake out and when/where that Nebraska game lands. An NBC Saturday night homecoming game would be a sight to see.

You think there's a chance that's flexed to a night game? 

I figured it was only between noon and 330.

It will probably be Michigan/Illinois, but if that game ends up being Big Noon (Big 12 slate kinda sucks on the 19th) I could see us getting NBC Saturday Night. We should know October 7th.

Or maybe we get Big Noon and the coverage that comes with it? I don't think they'll go to UGA/Texas or Bama/Tenn. The only Big 12 game I see getting Big Noon that day is UCF/Iowa St.

nutty to me they wait as long as they do. But... the paid attendance isn't their priority.

MD is the key (and we need to win at NW).

I’m very excited but don’t blame the pollsters for wanting to see more as FIU lost at home to Monmouth this past weekend which makes our FIU/Western IL/Charlotte OOC “gauntlet” look even softer. Win a few more and the OOC schedule won’t matter as much.

All I'm thinking about right now is getting to the 1st CFB playoff ranking on 11/5 undefeated. I assume if they can get there they are probably in the initial ranking which is, frankly, nuts to contemplate. So, Maryland, Nebraska and Washington home and NW and Mich St on the road.
