Garbage.  Sick of the “weak schedule” argument.  Penn St and Ohio St have both spent more game time trailing MAC teams then we have with our entire schedule.

Yup, the schedule thing would have some validity with me if they were winning a bunch of 13-10 games. But they have flat beaten down everybody. Anybody think if Bama or Georgia had done the exact same thing to the exact same schedule they wouldn’t be top 3? But that can work both ways a little bit. I imagine they’ll get extra credit for boat racing Michigan Saturday because of their brand when they really aren’t good.

They’d be comparing them to the 72 Dolphins if those teams were playing like IU

At first I was upset about the ranking but after some thought and a night's rest, I think IUFB is in the right spot.  They are driving the Ferrari and that's the only thing you can hope for at this point in the season.

Let's hope they take of business this Saturday.

It's really interesting (and quite different from the norm) seeing article after article saying IU is underrated and the victim of brand bias. One person went so far as saying they were the 2nd best team in the nation and several others were saying top 5. What a change. What a season.

Yep, control what you can control.

Spectacular summary in 45 secs by Klatt. Yeah, IU can take care of this by just winning out. But that’s not really the point. The issue is how they’ve moved the selection process to this late in the season to eliminate pre-conceived opinions and yet have done nothing of the sort. The real issue is schools like Bama and Georgia have a margin for error that the IU’s and BYU’s don’t.

The really frustrating to me if the different criteria even in the rankings. Penn State has played a ranked opponent. They lost at home to the only good team they played yet they are somehow still elite

The Penn St thing is so weird because even if you’re an eye test guy, and I always have been, and put the resume aside they haven’t looked particularly good against anyone.

With last night's victory, CCC and crew snapped a 3-game IU losing streak to Michigan, this is the second time this season Cig has done this (Maryland being the other.)  OSU remains our longest active B1G losing streak (28 straight), but it's great to see this team change the narrative.

Longest Active Conference Losing Streaks

28 - OSU

4- Iowa, Minney, and USC (loses were all OOC)

3 - Penn St., Purdue, and Rutgers

10-0 baby. No flavor of coffee could do this justice. I’ve been two fisting Jack on the rocks since 4 a.m.

10 and freakin 0!!!!!!!

It’s because the most we can lose is one. If we lose that one we’re not in the conference championship game and therefore we still can only lose max one.

AP Top 5diana! Still behind PSU cuz reasons

We’ll get leapfrogged by UT if they beat UGA (or maybe the winner of that game regardless) but we shouldn’t have a very painful bye week. Let’s see if the committee stays in line with the AP Tuesday.

So if they’re rewarding PSU for a close loss to OSU even though they haven’t beaten anyone either. Even if we lose by a TD to OSU we should then jump PSU right? Because we would then have played a top-5 team and be a one loss team. It’s like we’re being penalized for our (hypothetical) loss coming after PSU’s. They really should be rewarding the perfect record more knowing they can move us down if/when the loss happens.

If there’s any logic at all (there isn’t) we should have a little more margin cushion than PSU since it’s a road game for us.
