If you sign Pack and have DeVries and Bailey in the lineup…need to start figuring out a way to clone prime Pippen and prime Rodman and need to figure it out now lol.

We need a good defensive guard and good guards around pack. If we do that and he’s our 3rd option we have a solid team

Yeah, Pack Is overrated around here imo. Hasn’t proven to be much of a winner. He can shoot it pretty well. I’ll give him that. If you combine Enright and Pack plus 2 more inches and 25 more pounds then you have a heck of a guard. Lol. He’s fine I guess.

DeVries is fine guarding a 4 imo. It's when he gets switched onto a wing or guard that it becomes a problem.

Which available guard, “not a I wish we would have landed x,y,z” would you like us to land? Just curious which guard would check the boxes.

Gillespie, Dent, Conwell. Daryn Peterson, maybe Maleek Thomas.

Maybe Rodney Rice.

Portal doesn’t excite me much this off-season. Lots of dudes that are sticking with their current teams I like a lot. Maybe we can pry some of them free.

Pack is pretty solid, I suppose. He’s small. Not sure he guards great. He might be fun offensively.

Probably some 6’3, 6’4” dudes I haven’t dug into that I’d like. Tough, athletic guards.

Here's the first part of my initial response:

"He shot 43% from 3 with 3 attempts a game his last year at Drake, what do you mean "he hasn't made a ton of shots"?? The form looks good and he's proven he can do it an entire season. If he was hurt last season I'd say that's a valid excuse for a dip in the numbers."

Let's get back to the basketball discussion.

Thomas is at Arkansas. Yeah, it’s not ideal. Maybe Pack is the answer. Maybe we can offer a guy like (Bruce Thornton for example-I don’t this this staff has any connections there) from another school and fill the spot that way. You know the big spenders are likely to pull some moves like that over the next couple weeks. Why not us. Maybe when our other 2 assistants get named a better candidate arises.
