"Son, again, we see every indication that you will be ready to start from day one."

That about cover it?

IMO--

"I'll start who the 5 are that give us the best opportunity to play for the first 4-6 mins of the game, Bryson, you might be a part of that, if not, you'll be with the 2nd unit more, but probably featured more offensively with that group"

"oh and also, here's a BAG ($$) to keep you occupied".. I don't believe he was promised anything. I don't think anyone has been, I am not even sure who could have been promised something detrimentally to our team in recent years?

I think you have 1 of the 3 wrong.  Reneau, Mgbako, and Tucker are going to be starting.  Bank on it.  I have said before, the Tucker kid does not come here if he isn't promised a starting spot.  Sure, Woodson could change that when he gets here, but then his word is garbage and he likely struggles to ever get a kid at that level again.

Tucker would not accept going from semi-pro to college bench.  So either Woodson is changing his system and moving Mgbako to the 4 or Tucker is our 2G.

You're right. I missed on Tucker. He has impressed me so much I keep forgetting about him and can't remember his name. He would never come to IU if he was not promised a starting spot and a bag of money.

Let's hope so.

The single best IU portal recruit IMO.

  1. Fantastic production as a freshman - 1st team All-PAC12 and PAC12 freshman of the year.
  2. Three years left but already older
  3. Leader and culture setter - a young man that can overcome Hodgkin's and lead a team? Can lead any team.
  4. The #1 position of need - can give him the keys for multiple years

Personally? I don't wanna hear about the "how much did he cost?" NIL is a part of every program. For me, it's not how much a  kid makes; it's whether we are using our NIL wisely. Myles Rice would be a shining example of using NIL wisely.

With regards to how much we are paying, IF say we made a coaching change and the NIL went up for this coach and he were dropping $ for recruits like this, we would all be celebrating how we are now getting serious about becoming great.

Here's a piece on Myles Rice BEFORE he ever played in a college game. This is the reverence for this kid ... who thereafter turned into all-PAC12 and PAC-12 freshman of the year.

Oh I'm so in.

I usually like to have a Strom on Friday so not sure I'll eat rice today. But hopefully everyone is celebrating Rice here soon

I had some really good Thai food last night. Plenty of rice, we are good to go.

I don't really think Tucker will start. He's 17 years old.

5* Top 20 players who were going to forego college to get paid in a minor league before it folded are not agreeing to come to a school and come off the bench.  I am not saying he should start, I am saying he will start.
