I beleive in the end this is going to be a fruitless endeavor. Trying to build a team out of the portal is a daunting task, bringing in a couple portal transfers a year to help aid your team from the previous year is one thing but trying to construct pretty much a whole team is another. Plus, I have lost all faith in Coach Woodson's ability to coach a team play college basketball effectively. (Can't wait to hear the excuses he come up with after losses next year)

I don't care about defense anymore. I want to outscore teams next year 120 - 115 every game.

Give me the old Dan Issel, Kiki Vandeweghe, Alex English type of IU team next year. We'll load up on scorers from the portal and just outshoot them and out-tempo them next year.

A team that is athletic and running will never feature Malik Reneau.

And yet next season we again will feature Malik Reneau.

Gillis yes, but not Furst, he seems slower than MR and isn’t shot blocker

I think we have 7 open scholarships, he could still land a couple high school recruits and then fill the last 5 spots with portal players, that would be doable

But does it have too? You’re saying just run the same failed 2 post player play that’s a failed time warp experiment. The bigger issue there is there’s no way Bako doesn’t start with Malik and Bako hasn’t turned into a wing, bring in another “rim protector” and it’s the same look as this year and that’s a guaranteed failure.

Do we want to get better - change through the portal, or stay the same?
