Transfer Portal w IU Interest

I was listening to The Back Home Network with Tony Adragna, and he pointed out that during the games this season, IU fans would probably be yelling to get the ball into the post.  He said we are so conditioned to that style, we can't help ourselves.  He laughed and talked about how we are changing the way we play, and believes the fans are still stuck in our thinking about the old style and things are going to change this year.  I hope so.

Rabjohns says the roster is pretty much set as far as the portal is concerned. The last 2 spots will probably go to Goode and a developmental guy or 2 developmental guys if Goode can't get another year.

I did and he said he was honored to be one of Moyes 10 career blocks. He also said he wouldn’t advise going into the ‘26 season with 6’3” guard as your rim protector.

Does Leo Curtis count as a developmental guy or did he already sign somewhere else? I’m just catching back up after the weekend…

So reading through the last several posts people are disappointed we got harris and are mad we don't have a 7 footer? Am I reading this correct? Remember good defensive position and a little athleticism can go a long way. My opinion we will be OK if our fundamentals are on point

Do you think Rabby has inside scoop or is he just doing some math and speculation?

Think people are worried about defense which is valid. I’m mostly worried if an injury were to occur to Bailey or Alexis. Overall with all the circumstances we were dealt this off season I am VERY pleased with how things have worked out.

I think he knows his stuff. Definitely not as connected as he used to be but he did go on a tangent on how him and andershock have been told to be quiet this off season for a multitude of reasons(if they report stuff it brings visibility to prospects and other teams could jump in unexpectedly, ect). (This could be total bs but it was said)

concur. Defense is about awareness and understanding a scouting report, too, though.

That's a great point. Our roster outside of Conerway doesn't have much of a defensive pedigree. It would be great if we had an assistant similar to Moikobu from Texas Tech, he had a strong track record with defensive construction.

Same.  It's hard for me as an outsider to really evaluate this roster, so I just look out for red flags (something seems really wrong) and I don't see any red flags.  I can see what CDD is trying to do at this stage.  That's good enough for me and I'm excited for the season.  Onwards and upwards.

Also at a little bit of ease knowing how well WVU was rolling last year when marginally healthy (still without Stone)... legit were a T25 team until TDV went down.

I could make an educated guess, but I wouldn’t feel real confident in it. But then again, I haven’t paid as much attention to the portal as some of you guys.

Remember 3 weeks ago when some of you were panicking because we had 1 player signed.  Now there’s a full roster.  Heck we even have 5 with eligibility next year, we good!!
