Yep,

I had never heard of RB until I opened the Tony Adranga spreadsheet that someone posted today. Tony had RB listed.  Of the listed players two of them, RB and Nigel Pack had green backgrounds over their names which I am guessing means high mutual interest.
If the Pack thing turns out to be real it will be nice that the Boilers will finally get to see him play in person. LOL

Pack would be a 6th year who’d need a medical waiver, correct? I don’t know his story this year, is he a definite to get it or is he in a Goode situation?

Green means outreach in last 24 hours.

Pack only played 9 games and none of them were past early/mid December.

Goode played the end of season games (ie not season ending injury) during the year he is petitioning.

Im no expert, or even close, but it would seem as though Pack has a better chance of winning his case which, like Goode, has not yet been decided.

Hansberry to Virginia Tech.  Followed Frazier from Illinois to West Virginia then from West Virginia to Virginia Tech.   Assistant coaches relationships matter

Seems like Harris will follow and doesn’t appear to be a fan of DeVries.

Saw that. A lot of posters questioning why he’s commenting yet only staying 1 year himself. Not a fan of social media posting from athletes like this. Stay classy but I understand that’s what young adults do.

What ever happened to being excited about getting a recruit? Jfc

A pro of the portal is the players have college experience so you get a better idea of how their strengths translate at this level. A con of the portal is the players have college experience so you get a better idea of what their weaknesses are at this level.

Hurley said it best lately.  Games changed now.   Im paraphrasing but basically recruit offense and worry about defense later.  He has a clip out there somewhere where he talks about it    Excited to see it all play out

But yet the Final Four teams are strong defensively...

Rabby mentioned Lamar Wilkerson from Sam Houston. 6'5" SG. 44.5% on 7.7 3PA. 47% FG, 82% FT, 4 RPG, 1.1 SPG, 20.5 PPG

Lots of competition for him. I'm not optimistic since he's from Arkansas and is being recruited by them. Kansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, and SMU are also involved.

Where did he mention that?  It’s somewhere I’m apparently not familiar with and I’d like to check it out.

Over pay him only means one thing. Pay him more than he is worth. Not a good business plan.

The portal is like free agency in any pro sport. To get the top talent you have to "overpay". Ideally eventually we'll be adding more talent to the program via HS recruiting, but with no returning players (Goode pending) there's a lot of spots to fill and we'll have to dig into the portal to acquire some "win now" talent.
