This is an awesome outside the box hire. Smart was the HC at Carleton College and won a million Canadian Natty’s. Beat IU like 10 years ago on a summer trip and a bunch other D-1 teams through the years. Had this weird defensive philosophy where they would force the ball to 1 side and just never let it get reversed.

That is a good, good hire. Thought he could  be 1 of those guys who might be able to go straight to a power conference job. I’m not as big a fan of Drew as some, but he undeniably has an eye for coaching talent.
