The way Raftery and Spiro were talking about Woody, you could just about tell it was forced on him.  Scott May, Downing, and company showing up to practice to support.  Talking about how hard it was on Woody.  That doesn’t seem like the vibe when someone retires voluntarily.  Or maybe it’s a health issue, but then he doesn’t want to talk about the retirement, like he doesn’t know what to say or can’t say.

Read the Doyel article. He was forced out.

Health issue? Malignant Ego?

That's proves to me he thought he was untouchable even with his crap record. Hard to feel sorry for a guy who gave half an effort to the job. Arrogance and laziness are not a good combo.

You my friend are giving him too much credit, it was less than 20% of the job, IMO.

But he 100% expected to be back I think. He really thought he was untouchable.

I agree with you on that.  Delusional fits him!  He got treated the exact same way he treated Fife and Matta.  What comes around goes around.

The wagons were certainly circled... actually it was a pretty pathetic effort, and 100% transparent.

To me, it was just the university firing a basketball legend a nice way.  Being forced out means you were actually fired.  What kills me is in his own delusional mind, he thinks he was doing a good job.

He was a legend at a player 45 years ago... but a crappy coach for the past 4 years... what have you done for us lately, Magic Mike, besides crap your pants?

Yes it does. Not sure what he thinks he is proving by staying all year. If he thought he was going to go on a I will prove them wrong run today was a must win for him. He is going to get rocked on Tuesday by 25.

Remember that guy who told the mods that there was no reason for this thread to exist anymore and thus shut it down?   Telepathically giving you the bird buddy.  (-;
I remember when he was 4-1 and if we dare questioned it was against awful competition some thought we were nuts. Well he is 1-7 since. Maybe some of us do know something.

I have to imagine the players had a role in why he is still on the sideline. I imagine if they made it known they wouldn't be happy if woodson was gone then dolson would have to do exactly what they are doing. Regardless this is ugly and woodson should be fired immediately.

Are you suggesting that the inmates are actually running the asylum?

I'm also more than a little interested in how much Buckner, Ferguson et al had to pay Rafferty and Spero for that syrupy slobberfest?
