• Last season Clemson finished ranked 14th. McNeese was unranked.

Yay! Willie Strong-@$$ has a really good won/loss record at McNeese State. And you're picking on guys like McMillan, McCollum,  and Schertz that win in low major conferences. 

Yay! Willie Strong-@$$ had a better than expected record at football school LSU but didn't win any conference titles there or even finish a year in the Top 20. Yes, LSU shared a conference title, but that was the year Wade got fired during the season hahahaha..

JFC. Will Wade has won a conference championship at P5 school. McNeese is a low major school currently 60th in KenPom. Brad Brownell is the epitome of average.

If you don’t want to hire Will Wade because of his past transgressions, totally fine although I disagree with you.

But somehow trying to paint a picture that Will Wade and Brad Brownell are on the same tier levels of coaching is the funniest thing I’ve read all day.

If you win, the fans will support you. 

If you lose, they'll complain. It's very simple.

If Cignetti starts losing, people will turn on him, especially with his cockniness. People see it as confidence and swagger now. They'll like it a lot less if the football team is 2-9. Such is the life of a coach...

Depends. There were no fire sampson threads in the first year. If it's a super underwhelming hire it's possible

Depends on what that coach does prior to his first loss. 

 

If he starts off like he was shot out of a cannon, lands high-level players, kills the press conferences, preaches toughness and accountability and has a fun style to watch, fans will be more lenient. If he's like Archie Miller and gets zero roster additions his first 3 months, looks scared every time he's interviewed, doesn't have any kind of clear plan, and his team can't score...well, you get the idea.

Ehh disagree. IU falling further into irrelevancy with each passing year only adds to the desperation and increased noise. We want to try and replace the last 30 years overnight. It’s never going to happen. Better win and better win quick or you don’t have a prayer.

It’s a vicious cycle.

You don’t have a clue as to what you’re talking about. Wade won the SEC in his 2nd year. He was fired prior to the NCAAT in his 5th season.

To be fair, the fans gave both Woodson and Crean more time than they probably should have. Crean deserved a lot more criticism than he received, especially in year 3. That was a much worse year than it should've been. He should have been facing some heat then, but he did have some better players coming in, so that mitigated things a bit, but the team showed some regression that year. 

And Woodson's coaching issues were very evident early in his coaching tenure.

IU fans have gotten a bad reputation among B1G fans for not being patient...
