Yeah, it’s interesting to watch the extent to which we’ve already started punting on the character stuff before the job’s even open. I mean, Beard, Pearl, Wade, c’mon. I am 100% confident that there are multiple really great options who aren’t time bombs for school embarrassment.

I read the police report on the Beard incident....pretty sure its still online somewhere....I'll pass....also, his record is not the best that we could pull in to be honest....I would much rather have a Ben McCollum....like CIgnetti...He wins

I have been told (others have hinted), that the talk is that we can expect a starting lineup change tonight. 

Will be interesting to see what that looks like, and who gets moved out/in that 5. Or if we trot the same group out for tip...

If we strike out on a lot of candidates like Stevens, May, Pearl, Drew, it might come to Beard. But he won't be anywhere near the top of the list. His camp is putting all of this out. He is not on Dolson's short list

To put the Beard incident into perspective.....I have been absinthe drunk in the alleys of Okinawa at my worst and never thought of biting someone let alone my girlfriend or my wife....I know a lot of other drunkards who have done some crazy shiite but biting a wife?? Thats new one...

Read the article. Read the arrest report. This isn’t “baggage.” The guy assaulted his fiancé to the point where the injuries were visible to the responding police officer. They separated after six years. He was fired for cause and was paid zero dollars and he did not fight it. He stated he had videos to exonerate himself then refused to supply them.  
 

The arrest report is in the above tweet. I’d encourage everyone to read that and seriously consider if you’d want anyone involved in that anywhere near IU basketball. DV doesn’t just manifest itself once with a 911 call. These things don’t happen in a vacuum. 
 

Not that any of it matters as Jers stated. IU is never hiring Chris Beard.

I’m a firm believer in people can get their lives right and deserve a 2nd chance. But that doesn’t mean taking over a historic blue blood program. Sure he wins. But so do a bunch of other coaches out there.  No need to go down the Beard road imo.

Brad S - Just does not seem likely at this point BUT not saying I am not sitting here with my fingers and toes crossed lol

McCollum - In the Cignetti mold as far as his record....not sure why he has not received bigger offers yet....seems like we would miss one if we don't grab him

May - Go for it. I guess it just seems strange if he would leave a program like Michigan after 1 year to rebuild our program but maybe he does have that kind of love for IU....Hope so!

I just re-watched, missed that. He does mention making changes to the guys starting, to get us off to a good start. 

I think my mind was too boggled by the "I wish I knew" answer of the next question about 60 in the first half and erased anything I heard before it.
