Not sure how you found Shakas info I’m pretty sure Marquette can keep their stuff private.  Marquette spends loads of money on their basketball program though.   No one knows the real number however they are usually projected as top 5 by people in the business

Interweb says so, but as you said, for a private school it isn't publicly confirmed by the university.

Actually I just found a better source on Shaka - Marquette's tax filings. So he was about at $3 million  last year. I'd imagine after the year he had last year he's at about $3.5 million:

While Marquette is a private school and thus its inner financial workings not open to the public, it does have to release its 990 tax filings yearly, one of the only times we get to poke around behind the scenes. For our purposes, it also gives us an insight into what kind of financial figures Marquette’s basketball coaches are making, or made the previous season.

One of the questions I get every season is, how much does Marquette’s coach make, and how does that compare to what other coaches around D1 and the Big East make?

The answer to the first question is now, a base pay of $2,791,853 with bonuses of $154,000, for a total of just under $3million at $2,945,853. That’s up over 37% compared to 2022.

If Wade is hired the Hoosier in Uspshoosier will definitely come off on this forum.  It would be very hard for me to continue be invested in the program if he was ever hired

Didn't he agree to take the O$U job when they and Matta "parted ways"? Then he backed out, decided to stay at Creighton -- and Holtmann got the call. 

Wonder what happened there ...

Looking at the top 25 poll  all I wonder is how did a football conference ( how I think of the SEC )  become a basketball conference now looking through there are 10 from the SEC while the B10  has only 5  not sure why we cannot get better at basketball

That’s what I found. Wisconsin has broad open gov laws.  Usps is right that they love their basketball program but they don’t have much else or a ton of cash—don’t even have their own stadium.  IU could outbid them but he’s a perfect fit there. I wouldn’t go for him or Buzz, personally. 
 

McDermont or maybe Devries (harder to outbid and also less accomplished) would be good pulls, among a couple others. 
 

But that should be IU’s floor. Sampson/Crean/Archie were all in that level or higher. Davis and Woody were terrible unforced errors.

He won damn near 70% of his games there including the SEC championship and finished 2nd and 3rd as well. All in a 5 year span. We're talking about LSU.

You claim not to be a self-important person, but you clearly think you are the smartest person in the room.

That poster knows the odds are a long shot, they're saying you will not change anyone's mind by saying we should stop talking about/hoping for them. People are going to hope, that's fine... doesn't call for a "rude awakening"

We're all going to have different preferences on our short lists... none of that matters.

Hopefully IU hires a real winner and things start looking different soon.
