They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread

Yeah that’s not where I’m at.

And I hope you’re right. I truly do. I’m just tired of IU accepting average results.
Before I retired, if I had a person reporting to me with Woodson’s record, he’d be fired. Not even a question. In fact, I would have been gone if it didn’t make a change. And we are talking about positions that made maybe $200k. Good money but not what Woodson is making. But IU fans are supposed to take it. I truly hope we make a change. But the fact that we accept what is being put out for this kinda money is amazing to me.

I think the family has been communicating with Dolson since he committed.

This for sure! Trent committed despite Woodson. I haven’t talked to them personally about this being true, and they would never admit it because that’s the family they are, but yea wouldn’t surprise me if they are rooting for a change like us all!

Well, that is interesting, and also telling. Maybe we won’t lose them like a Liam McNeely since somebody’s talking to him on the reg.

I have two questions for this thread tonight.

Who here wants Woody fired/retired?

Who here wants to see the Irish whoop the Suckeyes’ a$$es?

If you answer yes to the first one, then you’re safe Hornsby won’t come and find you. Lol

If you answer yes to the second question then you’re safe from Rudy.

The family of a recruit has been communicating with the AD since he committed? Strange. Well, that's awkward for Woodson.

Somebody has to communicate with our recruits, because it's been proven the coach can't be bothered to do it.

Trent and Liam are completely different situations. Trent committed to IU because of the program and not the coach. Trent wanted to be a Hoosier. Liam wasn’t that.

Then why did you list 6 more wins to get them to 11-9? just say Mike Woodson is coaching them so no chance at 11 wins

Because those 6 are the most likely to get them to 11. Which doesn't firmly put them in the NCAA tourney. They'll firmly be on the bubble. As a lot of other teams will have resumes that look just like ours. And we may not have a Q3 loss like another team with a similar resume, but other teams haven't gotten their brains beat in every loss.

IU is projected in the Last 4 in today by some of the best bracketologist (I have them first 4 out)without those wins.  They win 6 more games I would prepare yourself for the fact that they are more than likely in the field.  I would rather not watch them in Dayton so if they could either lose enough to not make or win enough to get out of Dayton I would really appreciate it

For you maybe but others would have them firmly in with those 6 wins.  Committee using a new metric makes things interesting as well.  Wins above bubble WAB. IU is in the 30s.  If they win the 6 your talking about their WAB would improve more then it is already is which in my opinion will be the metric they use at the bottom of the bubble

Everyone wants Woodson gone-1000%.

Why wouldn’t everyone want this team in the tournament?

The two concepts don’t have to be exclusive of each other.

People struggle to believe a move will be made if he has any tournament success

At best, we’ll get in as a 10 or 11 seed and get our doors blown off by somebody like Georgia in our first game.  I doubt that would be seen as success.

That’s exactly what it is because they don’t trust QBall and Ferguson to not influence the situation for another year.  The fans don’t trust either one of them to do the right thing for the university and they don’t trust that the administration will allow Dolson to make AD decisions!
