I would say the B1G is a better conference.  Not any more.  Can B1G get back to the better conference? Sure but they better pump money into it like the SEC did over 10 years ago.    B1G has an image problem and right now the talent in the game is heading other places besides the B1G

I don't think I conveyed myself correctly or you read it wrong.... either way, I think the SEC is a better basketball conference.

Truthfully, I do.

The B1G needs a COMPLETE overhaul in basketball. The men's game is reffed like a 10U Bronze division AAU tourney on a Sunday morning,..... "oh you aren't bleeding, well then no foul, b****"... it's boring to watch.

Also.... we, IU, needs to take the vast majority of the criticism when it comes to "the B10 being down in basketball" if MSU, Purdue, others had the same program and we were where we should be, it would help the B1Gs image quite a bit.

I don't think Scott wants the season to be "saved."  I think he wants to rub Woody's, Buckner's, and anyone else involved, nose in this pile of crap.  Make it as bad and as ugly as possible, so they have zero support from anyone and you can tell them to F off.

If there are donors complaining now who supported keeping Woody after last season, it would be pretty sweet for Scott to say, "This is what you wanted.  I wanted to make a change, but you wanted to keep him.  Enjoy it."

I think Dolson is playing a smart game here. Let Woody coach, let him fail on his own merits. When we lose 6 in a row, he will lose any leverage he currently has. There is still a path to the tournament, can’t fire him until that path is gone.  A beat down by Purdue will get some fired up. I think we end up with 17 or 18 wins. Missing the tournament and then we move on.

Indeed logical. We need Purdue to win by 40 IMO.

I actually wasn’t looking at that way.  I like this idea a lot better than mine.  He definitely rub their nose in it and it would give him more clout and leverage.  My thinking has changed, burn it down, burn it all down!

A smart game with a tiny bit of risk. There's always the danger of a roster with some talent finally putting it together, albeit on their own.

The fact that he has any leverage is all that needs to be said about how bad the IU basketball program is.

Well imo if he isn't gone today and it likely looks like he isn't then they are committed to purdue and wisconsin imo. I guess I don't see the point in waiting till the season is lost. I don't get why anyone needs to see more embarrassing performances. The fans have clearly turned and the team and coaches look like they are clueless. I don't get it but I think it says alot about why we are in this situation. I guess I don't see why further damage needs done

.....looking back, playing or coaching girls basketball, travel and HS Softball,.....I have never been a part of any program that was so out of touch and disconnected as this program. I don't know how this current team can do it day in and day out, trying to disassociated themselves from all the negativity.

The current "Optics" are crystal clear. We are a rudderless ship right now and no clear sight of the harbor!

They remind me of politicians. Totally tone deaf to the voters. Same deal. They want us to be quiet and let Cathy run the process

if Kenny Payne finished the year at Louisville and they recovered, I think we'll be ok lol i get everybody is over this but there are only 10 (maybe 11) games left in the season.  Woodson isn't going to be the coach next year whether he finishes the year or doesn't finish the year.

When I was growing up, $6 million got you legs that run 60 mph, an eye with 20:1 zoom and infrared capabilities, and a bionic arm with the crushing power of a bulldozer

We’re getting short changed

That was for one guy... Woodson needed 7 or 8. That probably explains a lot. /s
