I do understand unless the train comes completely off the tracks, he needs to give Woodson a chance to rectify this hefty roster.  It honestly makes a bunch of sense its just painful to "waste" another year when many of us anticipated it.

Can you pass down word at least to the staff to abandon everything they are trying to do on defense and just play ball?

I will say that while some of what Kathy says is true. I do think that there's some stuff that is a little off. Dolson may not be actively rooting for Woodson to fail he has definitely talked to possible replacements in the past and may start before a move is made this year.

So Kathy or any other supposed insider...I know for awhile after RMK, the apparent thought was no basketball coach "bigger than the program".. is that still a prevalent thought within IU admin or the Athletic Department?

He has a “pair”, he just doesn’t use them without a good reason. What did the HH guys have to say? It’s hard to not roll your eyes when thinking of them. They’re big fans but they constantly make people in the AD nervous.

This goes a long way towards defining Woodson's (lack of) character - petty, self-absorbed, egotistical, lazy, arrogant. And despite not doing his job, he's enriching himself off of the university that gave him an opportunity when he was a youngster. Shameful.

It may not "unbreak" it, but it will certainly send the message that Dolson and Indiana are serious about ending this crap-fest and righting the ship... optics be damned, it's the right thing to do. Period.

I didn't think that was much of a revelation. Woody was hired in large part because he knew people? That was part of the calculation from the start and didn't prevent him from succeeding.
