It doesn’t matter who is here next year if Woodson is employed. He can’t win with multiple 5* recruits. Burn the entire team/staff to the ground and start over. It’s entirely possible in the portal era.

The odds of IU looking at Beard are less than zero, especially if Fitzgerald interviewed well for the football gig and Whitten put an end to that possibility.

I’d kinda like to see Beard at Indiana to see what he could do with NIL opportunities.

Lloyd, Drew are interesting to me. I mean Painter is too, but….

May is on my other list. I feel it could be CAM like, but I think that’s most likely.

There seems to be enough truth to the rumors that IU did examine Beard's background prior to hiring Woodson and deciding no then to assume Beard is a non-starter at IU.  Personal opinion doesn't matter on that -- but if you are in favor of Beard, look for someone like that as opposed to Beard himself.

I think there is probably a middle ground here. Maybe we hire a proven coach that doesn’t have Beard’s baggage.

Tommy Lloyd? Seems to have a good thing going at Arizona, but may as well reach out. Drew has done pretty well at Baylor, that'd be interesting.

I'd like to see more of May, same as I said about Miller,  but I could easily see someone making a move for him after this year.

I think Drew has had a pretty slimy history at Baylor....BUT that slime is probably all legal now.  I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere near him before, now if he's the guy, so be it.

That said, I do think we're talking about a coaching spot that isn't going to be open next year.

If I’m 66 year old Mike Woodson at the end of the year do I really want to try and rebuild this team after a horrible year and try and recruit 8 new players or whatever. I personally wouldn’t. I think everyone would be happiest if he decided to retire. I’m sure being booed by the college he loves like last game couldn’t have been enjoyable and it’ll only be worse this year. Retire, be a program ambassador and go to all the games, and enjoy your life Mike.

Thought he was good as a coach in his short time but the administration could have handled the situation regarding Sampson better than what they ended up doing had they taken a better approach the program might look significantly different does right now.

If we were KU or UNC we would’ve denied everything and probably would’ve had a national title with Sampson as coach

Idk about the legality, but he had an assistant threatening to have Hanner Perea deported for not choosing Baylor lol.

I wonder if there's any chance Mark Few wants a change of scenery after this season.

The only thing he's missing on his resume is that national title, and maybe he thinks that opportunity has come and gone at Gonzaga.

At 61, it's now or never for him.

I don’t know about every coach, just know that Tommy Lloyd isn’t leaving Arizona to come coach IU with the Gonzaga job opening in the next few years.
