I think 3 of his assists were lobs to Ware. Reneau is a good passer when facing up. With his back to the basket and a double coming…not so much. If he fixes that he could really make the ball move for this team.

Yeah, Reneau needs to do a better job feeling the double and passing out of it.

There are only 200 minutes to give out. For ease of conversation, let's just use round numbers...

Ware, Reneau, and XJ you probably want to give each minimum 30 (I'm sure this will be debatable for some)

Let's say for Gallo and Mack, it's 25. That's 140. So 60 minutes to divide across the entire bench, which right now we're playing 5 guys.

That's not a lot of time and makes it tough for them to get into a good rhythm. Give 15m to Banks and Gunn and 10 mins to Cupps, Walker, and Sparks IMO. Ultimately it's going to fluctuate every game based on match ups.

Stinks we'll only have Ware for one year... but better to have had him for a short time than no time, lol.

Walker has impressed me the past 3 games, he’s played his role well. Cupps, I would love to see more from an offensive standpoint, Banks was great off the bench with 6 tonight. 19 points from the bench squad tonight.

I've been impressed by Ware so far given the criticism he had from last year. He has been in my opinion clearly our best player. I think we are looking better, defense is improving, MM is starting to look like what I hoped he would be. We are not going to be a good volume shooting three point team so our three point defense had better elite going forward.

1. CJ must really be in Woody's doghouse

2. Malik Mack can really shoot of course he made the 3 at the end of the half

3. Some of the substitutions had me scratching my head

4. MR and XJ being out scare me. MR to me looked to be in pain when he was walking off don't know what MacGyver treatment Garl gave him it seem to worked

5. We have a lot of work to do before Auburn and Kansas

6. Trey my dear sorry for not having an extra headband in my bag

Can we all agree this was our best performance? If so, that's what we want to see. Keep stacking the wins and getting better. Hummel kept saying we need to shoot more 3s. Guess what? We don't need to until the team forces us to do it. I have faith the proper ball reversal will give us wide open ones when the double comes. Until then, I love seeing our bigs dominate the paint.

Guys need to shoot the ball. Every other team we play has dudes that aren't scared to shoot. Everyone on our team looks like they'll get the paddle if they shoot if even slightly contested. We were 4-15 tonight. Dudes have got to start hitting and shooting more. CJ, Galloway, Mgbako, Reneau, Ware, Cupps, Gunn, Banks if they have a sliver of space, gotta shoot it. Make other teams know you're going to shoot if open. That'll open it up for Reneau and Ware to dominate inside.

I do not like how often I have said I am disappointed in Trey Galloway this year.

He needs to go back to being the 6th man... he excels in that role, bringing energy and a spark (if he can find one) off the bench... and if his feelings get hurt, too bad, suck it up... you're a Hoosier and you have a role to play.

*checks score and box score

We shot pretty badly from outside and they dominated anyway.

They did dominate. Now think what they could do with defenders fearing a 3pt shot if they kick it out.

Are you saying we need to take more 3s or make more 3s? Lol.

I don't think anyone will argue with the idea of making more 3s. But I don't think we necessarily need to shoot more of them.

If we shoot the same volume more efficiently, we'll still be able to space the floor because defenders will have to respect the jumper. But the offense isn't about kicking out for 3s, it's been made clear we will score around the basket as a first option.
