And not extending or supporting Terri Mor…

wait, wuh?

More.. positive

Woody... positive

Allen... the amount of money being costed there is more than the men's program can even try to make up for. Football easily doubles or more the revenue thanks to it just being football. And it could definitely make even more money. That's a reason the program needs to be good. But that extension... it puts Dolson in the negative. Because whether anyone likes it or not, and no matter how goes women's bball, soccer softball, baseball etc can be, it's still all about men's bball and football. And football is dying fast and the future isb looking darker.

You know it’s not good when you have to point to women’s basketball. Football and men’s basketball make the money which are the top priorities, our football program is a disaster and we haven’t been to the sweet sixteen in mens basketball since 2016, but great job Dolson on women’s basketball.

Sorry folks,  circumstance calls for dusting this one off the shelf. Whether he’s made the choices, or just been Quinn’s puppet…there’s certainly some culpability to be owned here!
Obvious ‘opportunities’:

1) re-upping Tom Allen especially w/the huge buy-out … and then things collapse when we lose Deboeur, Womack, McCullough and the rest of what’s now Alabama’s staff. - 15 to 20MM. Is his job to know who/what is responsible for driving success…and what isn’t.

2) hiring woody w/zero college experience and out of head coaching in the nba for 10+ yrs. -12.5M

3) agreeing to $1M raise for woody for making the tourney. I hope TJD got some of that b/c clearly he carried the deficiencies for 2 yrs. -$3 M. No one was looking to poach woody.

This is big business, and the CEO is clearly failing. Pam needs to show she’s got expectations too, or we’ll continue to wallow in mediocrity.

Dolson is the CEO of the athletic department and his 2 biggest revenue generators are/were a dumpster fire and he was responsible for the decisions that led up to the problems. His seat should be just as hot as Woodys.

Yet everyone keeps saying the athletic department is flush with cash, no? You can't have it both ways, saying he's doing a shi**y job, then pointing out "look how much money the athletic department has..."

I think everyone is missing that college sports landscape has changed dramatically. We're going to see more ups and downs because rosters are going to flip constantly. That's why I think as fans we're really not going to have much fun if you are going to lose your mind every time a season goes to hell. Woody was not a long term hire. This season went to hell and it stinks He'll get one more year to turn it around and if he doesn't, like CTA he'll be gone.

Jeez Dolson has killed our basketball program.  He kept Woody too long and made a terrible hire with Devries.  It's a good thing he got lucky with Cignetti because otherwise he should be run out if town today

You don’t fire an AD for turning around the worst football program ever. And failing to turnaround a mediocre to bad basketball program.

The guy that could have been ours is going to win a natty in his second year at Michigan and we ended up with a coach nobody was pining for. This has been some incredibly ugly basketball to say the least. We used to have 5 guys in the paint standing around now we have 5 guys standing around the perimeter. No movement, no ball handling, no screens, no boxing out, no shot blocking, streaky shooting. This is really concerning. I have no idea what this is supposed to be.

He didn't kill it, but he's failing to stop the dirt from piling on its corpse.

Idk, I think it was on life support and he might have pulled the plug with Woody hire, him alienating the fanbase and not winning, Dolson not having the pull to get rid of him and then making a questionable hire that while it’s early is not instilling any faith or excitement from anyone other than Dakich
