Got to have more faith. That St John’s visit is a one day on a Sunday after having traveled 2 days in a row. Not giving them much.

Ten. maybe but how are they going to give  him more of anything? If he is leaving east coast, it is IU. And I say again, we are well positioned with where he is making connections.

honestly, this feels like - my mind is made up and 2 more quick visits to check them off and be sure.

St. John’s facilities are not good either lol

Gut feeling is we don't get him.  Hopefully I'm wrong, I'd like to add him and a guard that can hit from deep.

That’s my gut feeling as well we may very well get him. But definitely going to be a closer race than Ware.  If Ledlum doesn’t have pro ambition it’s an ironically a harder sell I imagine.

Then it’s all about fit.  We can’t be sure of what Ledlum is looking for even.  Should have a better idea next week. Right now I would definitely take the field over us

And I'm not sure who the backup option would be for him.

Idk either. I’m sure there’s somebody. Or somebody could enter the portal still but seems odd

It's pretty wild just how much the coaches know about potential transfer players before they actually get to the portal. I totally trust Woodson and Co. in regards to recruiting. I'm sure they are feverishly doing their homework on certain player and how they could potentially fit here at IU.

I think he is coming here, unless he just gets blown away at UT. St. John's is a sympathy visit. Don't think he has any real intention of going there. Tuesday/Wednesday next week we should hear some good news from him.

Also, IU will be or is trying to schedule a game with Harvard for this year. Late December.

Thanks for this @jbeaman9

I’m not sure you’re giving proper weight to the sheer personal magnetism of Rick Barnes.

Slightly funny story, I have family in Knoxville. We were down there several years ago and they were driving me around campus showing me different things. We were driving down by the basketball arena and were looking at it when someone from the back yelled to stop. Barnes and a recruit and some others were about to cross the road and Barnes was already in the street. Had we not stopped, he definitely would've been hit by the car. All ended up well, he waved and apologized for not paying attention as did the driver. We left the group cross and went on our way. We still talk about that moment several years later.

I wonder just how much the actual age of these coaches really matter/factors in to potential players.

Mike Woodson just turned 65, Rick Pitino is 70 and Rick Barnes is 68.

To get a Harvard degree while playing a very time-consuming D1 sport, Chris Ledlum needs to be a cut above in organization and saying what he means. Therefore, if he told Tennessee he was visiting, that's what he is going to do.

Now even if he loved the IU visit he may also love the Tennessee visit and have a hard decision thereafter. But I generally like our odds here.

Sure have. Been in there, Neyland a few times, and the baseball stadium once (can't remember it's name).

Really lovely area down there honestly. Wife and I considered moving down to start our careers but ultimately chose to stay closer to where we are from. I'm glad they are getting some storms, potentially, for his visit because it is nice down there.

Apparently not at all for Chris Ledlum since all of them are retirement age or older.

Agree, and that background makes me confident that after his meeting with Pitino he will take a very long, very hot shower.

Because after the meeting with Pitino, Slick Rick will show him the newly installed "Katina Powell Memorial Hot Shower Room?"

Lets revisit that individual for a moment... https://www.wave3.com/2021/12/10/katina-powell-arrested-after-allegedly-shoplifting-more-than-800-grocery-store/

$800 FROM KROGER....

She pimped out her UNDERAGE daughters to UL recruits to strip and have sex with them and then didn't have the humility to NOT write a book about it. I think Rick Pitino is one ******/POS of a person. She is a monster and should be locked in a Federal Prison.
