For all of the portal hand-wringing, Xavier Johnson is the single most important addition we can have for next year.

Most likely true. If we add no one else the 3 bigs plus XJ, Galloway, Banks/Gunn, and 1/2 freshmen guards is a 7-8 man rotation that could be bad offensively but the top defense in the conf and competing for a tourney bid much like Woody’s first year.   
 

That’s probably our baseline. Let’s hope we add a little scoring punch too.

X, Trey, and Ware is a great defensive foundation. Banks, Reneau, and Gunn have good athletic tools and want-to on that end…

Agree, and hoping CJ and Banks can maximize their length/talent, and join that first group you mentioned as well.
