From an observation standpoint, why would we have that gut feel that IU would lay a turd after a big win with UNC(because it seems to happen) but we should also fear Nebrasksa coming to us after a big win. Why wouldn't Nebraska lay a toilet grafitti'ing kind of log on Branch McCracken tonight?

Nebraska has a history of playing well on our court. That's what I'm concerned about.

Well, Xavier isn't exactly setting the world on fire this season--they are currently 6-3. So we squeaked by a fairly average team in a non-conference road game. I'm not sure what that portends but not necessarily anything to feel confident about.

Xavier's 3 losses are to IU, Duke, and Gonzaga and they have two wins against Florida and West Virginia. You can't ignore the good and go all in on the bad just because you want to act like the world is ending.

It’s easily our best win and will end up a solid one being a true away game. But we’ll play tiger in the B1G. And the distance between that game and the Rutgers one is huge. Hard to tell where were at right now. Those blowouts vs 300th ranked teams are meaningless. Purdue and Illinois look better than us right now. Maryland and Wisconsin easily could be.

It would be nice to get a solid, comfortable home win tonight to get a little confidence back before Sat.

Well, we’ve been awful for 5+ years. We’ve made everyone look good. It’ll be a poor sign if they shred up our defense on our home floor (obviously).

Who said the world is ending? All I said was the15-point road loss to Rutgers, especially the way we lost, suggests there will be others like it on the road. Xavier is not ranked. Our win against North Carolina was their third loss in a four game losing streak. The schedule so far has not been what it was built up to be. Once we get past Nebraska--which should be a fairly easy win--and we face Arizona and Kansas, we will get a better sense of how good this team really is. If we struggle against Nebraska at home, that will tell us something as well.
