Class of '66 Old Fart

IUBB vs Nebraska - Wednesday, 12/7/22 @ 8:30 on BTN

Recommended Posts

I will be in attendance tonight if anyone wants an autograph. I prefer signing for the ladies but I will sign your baby's head if you want me to. LOL

Hoping for a nice bounce-back game tonight. I think X and TJD will play well but will need someone else to step up. It's about time for our bench to have another decent game. I'm not expecting JHS to play tonight. GO HOOSIERS!!

Yep..can't lose to Nebraska at home if we have Big Ten Title chances. Need to rebound.

Heard anything around there about time-line for JHS? Got this feeling it's going to be quite awhile. No reason for that feeling other than being an eternal pessimist.

Kevin Vera - Trayce Jackson-Davis could add another milestone to his Indiana career today against Nebraska. TJD can jump into the top ten in Indiana's all-time scoring list.  #iubb The All-American currently sits at #11 with 1,716 career points, just 14 points behind Christian Watford.

I have not, just know that he is the dreaded day-to-day. I don't think he practiced yesterday so probably not a go for tonight. I'm hoping for this weekend but that's just me hoping.

Can't make the game tonight but can I get one of your game worn shoes signed?! I'll pick it up from your office.

We're at home tonight so one of their best players should get in foul trouble right

Don't look past Neb. they are playing better and coming off a big road win at Creighton
Agree don't look past them but at the same time if this team hopes to live up to even close to expectations beating Nebraska @ home is a must. Even if we are down our 2nd or 3rd option.

Not saying it's a must win so everybody can save themselves the time of arguing that. I'm saying you don't lose to the Nebraska types in conference at home and expect to fight for the B1G title.

No excuses.....go get a W

From an observation standpoint, why would we have that gut feel that IU would lay a turd after a big win with UNC(because it seems to happen) but we should also fear Nebrasksa coming to us after a big win. Why wouldn't Nebraska lay a toilet grafitti'ing kind of log on Branch McCracken tonight?

From reading various boards, the attitude of our fanbase collectively right now is not good. I have to think the team we saw from the first 7 games still exists even if we had a bad game on Saturday. Win tonight and get ready for war on Saturday.

TJD 15 points from passing Watford for 10th on the all time scoring list

4 rebounds from passing Don Schlundt for 7th in rebounds

2 blocks from passing dean Garrett for 6th in blocks, 4 blocks from passing George leach for 5th, 6 from passing Uwe blab for 4th, and 8 from passing DJ white for 3rd

It's a home game. It will be tough to repeat Saturday's performance at home. IU should win rather comfortably. But Saturday's game may portend future lackluster performances on the road this season.

What does the Xavier game portend then?

Well, Xavier isn't exactly setting the world on fire this season--they are currently 6-3. So we squeaked by a fairly average team in a non-conference road game. I'm not sure what that portends but not necessarily anything to feel confident about.
