Headline reads “IU football lands Florida edge “ but forgets to mention not rated per espn player profile and he chose IU over Kent State, Akron, Appalachian State, Bowling Green, Western KY, Charlotte, Costal Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Liberty….just a friendly reminder that IU football beat out a lot of schools to “LAND” this one.
Whether IU Ladies Win or lose still looking forward to IU Ladies basketball.

Going out of your way to post this is weird.

One of our selling points. We will give mid major talent an opportunity to play in the B1G.

True tradition of IU football.  And not being negative at all.  IU football in search for 5 or 6 upset wins for a winning season.  Seems to be kind of a weird strategy.

I was just wondering if there was any reason for me to get my hopes up for a winning season for IU football...I need someone to make the pain go away!

Maybe not this year. But we’re raking in enough money from the BIG to create a successful program over time.

So are other programs…overall a wash at best.  IU football success is every once in a long while there are a couple solid wins over Mac level or below schools and a solid big ten win or 2 and 2 or 3 big ten upset wins and then a bowl game loss….a bowl game win is a really successful season.

Doing away with the divisions is a huge upgrade for IUFB. They no longer will face arguably the three best football programs in the conference year after year. They will now only face Purdue year after year.

2024 Schedule
Conference
Away: MSU, Nebraska, Northwestern, Wisconsin
Home: Maryland, Minnesota, PSU, Purdue, UCLA

Non-Conference
Away: Louisville
Home: FIU, Charlotte

2025 Schedule
Conference
Away: Illinois, Maryland, OSU, Purdue, USC
Home: Iowa, Michigan, MSU, Rutgers

Non-Conference
Home: Old Dominion, Louisville, Indiana State

In the near future, there will be very few teams outside of the big ten and sec earning more than us in revenue. Maybe we’ll still struggle to be competitive in the Big 10, but we’ll be able to pay for coaches and should still be able to field a very competitive team nationally.

Oh yeah?

OH YEAH?!!?

Oh... yeah.

Does this mean IU football is optimistic for 2023 season or wait until next year…then we will get them…for the 123rd time (minus the handful of good seasons).

It seems like you take pleasure when our other teams fail besides the women's basketball team.

Tempered optimism

There are several very successful IU programs in both, athletics and educational programs including the band.

True.  IU Ladies basketball program is my favorite in this era because of it’s representation of winning and character Identity/Image.

More like nonsensical pessimism
