It’s very cool how he was extremely vocal that  he was going to initially impose defense on this team (even though he was predominantly an offensive player at IU) and the team is indeed a very, very tough defensive team.

Not to mention the culture at IU is now “play D or sit”.

I love it. We’re not without our flaws, but at least I feel like we have competent leadership and a program identity.  If we had one more consistent shooter I think our offense could get pretty good, too.

Geronimo, Kopp and Reneau didn’t play their best games, but all three made good use of the minutes they had. Bates a little bit too.

I think in most games the rotation will shorten from 9 to about 7 or 8. But it’s important those guys contribute.

X had a fantastic game, Gallo was the big spark, but really like seeing JHS step up strong as a frosh in a big spotlight game

6-10, 2-3 from deep for 14, 6 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal. Yeah 4 TO’s but that’s a strong game

Absolutely. I have been kind of hard on him for hunting shots and TO's, but if you make said shots and the TO's aren't silly then I'll shut up.

I think we need more than a shooter. We need a few multi-level scorers that include the 3 ball. We currently have X that can do that somewhat consistently. Bates shows flashes, JHS has the potential, Kopp is a "shooter" but nothing else, Gallo is a slasher/driver but not a reliable shooter, etc.

Underrated comment right here: "Woodson composed, dressed to the 9s…totally opposite of our screaming, anxiety riddled coach."

Just made me appreciate not having a coach maniacally pacing the sidelines clapping his a$$ off or a guy who constantly begs his assistants for help and sweats through his shirts.

The thing I disliked about both was they would call out specific players.  Which is just terrible leadership on a number of levels

It’s a strong UK thread. Strong.

I did watch the game. Being a token isn't a bad thing. It's a good thing. He he has the best hair in candy stripes since Alford.

If you watched that game and think Trey is a token player then I think you need to start back at the basics of basketball.
