The investment to meet that football revenue potential requires something like 10 Tom Allen buyouts and I’m probably lowballing. I don’t trust the admin to do that.

Allen or whoever is the coach, needs to be prioritizing OL on the transfer portal. IU can't survive recruiting at a MAC level for that unit

If we lose out I don’t have a lot of faith in our ability to attract quality players from the portal.

Why would I sweat the buyout? That's not my money. We've seen other historically bad football programs find some success. It shouldn't be too much to ask to go 3-6 in Big 1.o play each season.

I was at games with North Carolina State and Rivers freshman year and Wisconsin during Cameron era and in both games IU jumped to big first quarter leads resulting in 2 IU losses.

Kansas hasn't been shy to throw money around and retry. And they are having success with the most unknown and likely cheapest of the recent bunch (Weis, Myles)
