WayneFleekHoosier Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Air Force guard Jordan Rayford was on campus. Not sure what to make of that. Guard depth I guess. Not much info out there. ALASKA HOOSIER, lillurk and Stuhoo 2 1 Quote

Not much info out there. That’s really interesting. Not a one year portal rental; Rayford is a redshirt freshman with four years of eligibility. Sat out all of last year with shoulder surgery. Optimum guard size. Complete culture plus; super high academics and leadership qualities. ALASKA HOOSIER, WayneFleekHoosier and lillurk 3 Quote

Demo Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 A little more extended clip. Great frame. Present athleticism. The shot definitely has some funk. The handle is high and loose. I guess we’ll see. lillurk and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

We struck out on a few portal transfer guards and now we're shopping at Costco for guard depth as you stated. As Stu pointed out, he'd have 4-years of eligibility although we all know that with the portal as it is, it's not terribly difficult to ease a player out. lillurk, Stuhoo, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote

This is likely Leal's final year (I doubt he uses his 5th season of eligibility) so it looks like Woodson is trying to bring in his replacement a year early. ALASKA HOOSIER and lillurk 2 Quote

I'm extremely concerned about Newton after reading what his actual injury was. The recovery process sounded complicated with no timeline for returning to playing. I guess we'll see, but I'm worried about the long term prognosis. After reading your Costco comment, what's next Wal-Mart? Quote

This kid is practically picking the ball up off of the floor…while twisting his body in an unnatural way. Other than that tho… On the flip side, Walsh, Yas, and Jordy are coaches who are true shooters, and if the young man is super high character and a high level athlete that’s a good project. lillurk and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

lillurk Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 I’d love to know his Jr/Sr/AAU shooting %s, the shot’s arm finish seems fine or better. Some drift and a long windup don’t seem like the toughest problems a shot can have. J34 1 Quote
