HoosierTrav Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Watched some Graham Ike highlights. He’s a real handful. Looks like a pro. X is going to have to be the X factor. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

I’ve probably watched them play over 20 times this year. They have the ability to have good nights but they also can lay some eggs. IU probably should win but we shall see woodenshoemanHoosierfan, theriverpilot, ALASKA HOOSIER and 5 others 8 Quote

Hoosierfan1901 Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Wyoming has 36.6% 3PT shooter injured, guess he was limping hard off court during the Boise State game Quote

Five Prime Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 From what I can tell this is a good matchup for us. Their strengths on offense seem to run right into our strengths on defense. They are also an average defensive team. I think we win this comfortably. lillurk, IUc2016 and thebigweave 3 Quote
DWB Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Went over to their forum board to see what they're saying. Not much really. More posts about Parker being recruited by them initially. Watched the Boise State/WY highlights that someone posted, and we should absolutely be able to shut down their interior game. They get a fair amount of points with cutters coming thru the lane. I think our D stops that in a heartbeat. I'd put Race on Ike due to similar body mass and strength, and let TJD be 2nd guy off the floor and make about 6-8 blocks. TJD should dominate the inside on offense as well. He's far to quick for them. If they double, Race will be close by. X, Rob, and Bates should be able to take any of them off the bounce. lillurk 1 Quote

I don’t doubt the analysis, but I’m trying to think of tourney type teams we won comfortably against. ND comes to mind. We tend to make everything a slog, which isn’t all that uncommon for teams who primarily rely of defense. lillurk and BannerVille 2 Quote

Our matchups in the Big 10 against tourney teams have more athletic wings without exception. I can't think of one team that we matchup with athletically on the wings in the top half of the big 10. Where we've found slight advantages are inside depending on team and defensively. It appears we won't have a major athletic disadvantage on the wing and we have advantages inside and defensively. I gut says we win comfortably but obviously we could easily lose on any given day. thebigweave, lillurk and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote
Five Prime Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 St Mary's will be a coin flip imo (if we get there). I think Vegas would slightly favor them by 1-2 pts. str8baller, lillurk and thebigweave 3 Quote
