Before his senior year at Kokomo starts, which I believe is the first week of August (I'm old enough to remember when we didn't go back until the end of August). So within the next 3-4 weeks we should know. Unfortunate he's not taking another visit but I think that has more to do with his busy playing schedule than anything else. He's been in Bloomington more than any recruit should need and we've continued to show interest all the way so at this point I'd say the staff has done everything within reason to get him. It just all comes down to what he wants. Duke and Cincy scare me the most but truthfully I could see him going anywhere out of these main 5-6 schools. He's done a tremendous job of not leaking much info. J34 and HoosierHoopster 2 Quote

Demo Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/cassidy-s-takeaways-sportradar-showdown Cassidy update that confirms what Rabby has already reported that visits are over. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Disappointing, but it's not like we were ever an overwhelmingly perceived leader despite his numerous visits to Bloomington. Re-double our efforts on Queen and Ngongba. Quote

Re-double our efforts on Queen and Ngongba. It is kind of weird because of all the times he came here on his own. Also it appeared he really enjoyed himself here. It is funny that UC seems to be out of it as well even though for the longest time they were the perceived leaders. lillurk and craigyv88 2 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 We are in good with plenty of guys who will have a bigger impact on the college game. We will look back in two years probably not view this as a big miss. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 If we get Derrick Queen it’ll be just fine. Kid is on a rampage. I love Bidunga as much as any recruit though. Great kid with enormous potential. If we don’t, I don’t think we get Ngongba, and by every account Ware is a 1 year solution. So then it’s probably best to portal shop at that point. taco corp, lillurk, thebigweave and 1 other 4 Quote
HoosierDYT Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Weird, but allows us to refocus and prioritize accordingly. Glad he didn’t string us along till the end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ALASKA HOOSIER, Class of '66 Old Fart, Crimson and Cream and 2 others 5 Quote
go iu bb Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 He's not that good. We didn't want him anyway. ;) Disappointing but not surprising. Fortunately, this coaching staff is recruiting several other quality centers who are good enough that I wouldn't even consider them (at least Queen) as "backup" options to Bidunga. What a refreshing change from the last 20+ years where the coaches seemed to focus on a single player for a position then scramble when he chose another school. thebigweave and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

Scotty R Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 If we can get Queen we will so forget about. Bidunga. What I have seen from Queen in this game right now makes me think is better. He is a couple of assist from having a triple double J34 1 Quote
