I wouldn’t be surprised if Trey takes Kopp’s spot later in the year. Scoop has a ways to go imo but think we should go more two-three guard lineup

That's one thing I like about this team. If you aren't going to bring it there will be somebody to take some of your minutes. Not saying Parker and Miller should lose their starting spots, but there are some guys that I'd be interested to see in that role.

Felt the team was going to rebound tonight. A few things:

1) Enjoy Trayce folks. I don't think I've said that about an IU player since Zeller/Oladipo.

2) Hope Miller and Stewart get going. Their track record tells you that they will. Just really like the minutes Rob and Tamar are giving you off the bench.

3) Happy Lander and Leal took advantage of their minutes. If they are your 11/12 players, that's pretty good.

4) We are so lucky to have a play by play guy like Don Fischer. I'm a STL Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan. Their longtime announcers (Shannon and Sham) have gotten old. Not Fish.

5) Trayce is easily your best player. Xavier and Race may be All-B1G good. Hope they get a consistent 4th/5th best player.

Big one Wednesday night. First test of the season. Need a loud Assembly Hall!!

You said everything I watched and thought. I feel like we’re in any game with knowing what TJD, Race & Xavier brings, the question is who steps up if anyone. There is always a lot of possibilities.

I predict Bates, Stewart and Kopp!

Gut feeling...Kopp and Stewart score 10 plus Wednesday night. They are due.

Race had a double-double !! Quietest DD I've ever seen. Even TJD didn't get a DD. :farting_smiley:
Too many TO's. 15. Woody said he wasn't too upset with it, but hopefully he'll bring it up in the locker room.
Don't know the #'s but seemed like we had several of those TO's in the last 10 minutes though

How is that for incremental improvement?

We’ll see how they improve the next game too!

It has been a long time since I've enjoyed a game as much as last night.  So glad that TJD and Race are back and really doing well.  And improving! To say that IU's front court was dominating really is sweet.

Phin is loose and playing as well as he can.  Really happy that he doesn't stop above the key and slow the offense.  But Xavier set the mood for the night.  Well, he and the front court.

Defense is looking really good.  Albeit against NIU...but better.  The players, the team, hustled the whole dang night!  This!

One of the most exciting things is watching our point guard Xavier.  It was so obvious that PG was one very important cog that IU was missing.

I almost couldn't handle the camera work on BTN+.  My wife and I were reacting to the camera on the shooter but not following the ball to the hoop.   The close ups missed action. The camera would follow a player walking way down the court as the action happened at the other basket.  But I was laughing so hard at one point that I lost it when the comments in this thread were spot on!  Thanks to all those posters.

Between the performance on the court and laughing uncontrollably at the camera inspecting the ceiling of Assembly Hall...what a fun night!

Plus, listening to F on the play calling audio and Ted K...one could tell they are radio announcers.  And very good.

A tip of the ole hat to the coaches.

Great improvement....go IU!

They spaced it out just over a month from Hoosier Hysteria too so they could get 2 months out of us.  They doubled profits this year!

I hadn't put that together, good planning on their part.  SMH

Got you covered:

Appreciate this video clip.  Thanks.  But, it is not at the right angle.  And it does not actually show anything except TJD's reaction.  I have no doubt that no video exists that shows the actual sequence adequately.  Unless some person in the stands has it.  Because BTN+ camera may have been on the cheerleaders.

Earlier action showed some shoving going on underneath the basket at the other end.  So one could speculate that there was some action leading up to the Flagrant 2 foul.  TJD did have at least 7 blocks and IU's front line dominated.

He really did though.  Even Fisch and Kitchel called him out on it once.  He's awful with the ball in his hands, I prefer to see him as a spot up shooter and defensive specialist.  Agree with the rest though, great win!

Not sure what you aren't seeing, the guy, for no reason, shoves TJD in the back with his left arm causing him to fall forward.
