I think it’s ND.  They’re practically in La Lulu’s backyard.  This young man is already working on his announcement for the next NBA draft, IMO.  IU will be fine.

Trilly said he has two sources say it’s ND but not directly from Haralson’s camp. That’s why he’s not posting a GIF just yet. Some holding out hope it’s all just based on feels. No one knows for sure I think.

Why would the Sisley commitment cause to commit to ND.  They are two different types of players and they play different positions.  I still think it’s IU!

LaLu is a prep school.  Haralson is from Anderson.  Saying that Haralson goes to Notre Dame because it's close to South Bend is like saying Sisley was a Florida lean since he was attending Monteverde.

Haralson may go to Notre Dame (which I'm still not buying), but it would be because of where LaPorte is.

FWIW, I live in the area.....and you are more likely to see Purdue and IU basketball fans in LaPorte than Notre Dame.  Lot of reversible jacket fans who root for Notre Dame football and someone else in basketball.

Hey Race…no problem okay.  We all have an opinion…right?  I hope the kid picks IU, but I’m guessing he doesn’t, which is okay.  IU will be fine with or without him.  My point was based on the close proximity of ND to La Lulu/LaPorte perhaps the ND folks were able to get in front of him more often to sell their case for ND.  I fully admit it’s a stretch.  But it’s just another opinion.  :)

ND can offer less competition for Harralsons spot. Wont know what Rice will do till after the basketball season. ND makes the most sense I guess. 

Love to get him, but if he sees himself as a one and done....just might not be enough PT as a freshman at IU for him to make a real impact. Just being honest.

If he is good enough to be one and done, then he is good enough to be one and done no matter the competition around him.

I’d be pretty surprised if ND basketball could pull Haralson. It’s ND basketball. 5 star kids don’t really go there. Hope that holds true. He will have a chance to earn plenty of minutes here.

ND Basketball is all about Micah Shrewsbury.

When Woody retires I fully expect Micah to be the targeted lead candidate to be our next head coach. IU and Micah would be a perfect, perfect match.

So if Jalen Haralson chooses ND I understand why. That having been said, gun to my head speculative guess? It’s gonna be IU.

Have you looked at their roster? This isn't completely accurate.

First off I don't think anyone knows yet. I was told we could beat anyone in NIL money. But the Owens relationship cannot be ignored. Also if he wants to be a one-and-done it is probably more likely at Notre Dame. He will always have the ball in his hands and can do whatever he wants.

Here he will be dealing with Rice, Carlyle, Tucker, and Mullins for playing time. I still think we are right in it but won't be surprised if it's not us.

Yikes.  Schrews won just over 23% of his games at IU SB and has a losing record at both PSU and ND and has never finished better than 9th in conference.  There is absolutely nothing on his resume that would suggest he is remotely qualified for the IU job.

He's one of those rare coaches where the won/lost record does not accurately portray the resume.

He's improved every team he's taken over and was the lead bench coach for the Celtics. If ND doesn't improve under his watch? Then I'll reassess. But I would expect they will improve.
